11. CHAPTER 11
Omegas are a real pain in the ass, no matter what species they are. We were having a good time; I don't get what's so wrong with telling him he smells nice or that his asshole fits me and tastes sweet… Hmm, perhaps I did not say all of that.
Ugh, he wanted me to say something nice about his hair and eyes. Shouldn't an omega take pride in knowing how well he has pleased his mate? I suppose not.
Perhaps all I did was talk of nothing but sex, sex, and more sex. And maybe telling him something else was what he needed. Hell, even Valisian omegas wanted something loving spoken to them; however, I've never been in that type of relationship, and I certainly didn't see it growing up.
My Damma raised me alone for the most part. He refused to allow the hegemony to raise me. My father gave him a cottage near the palace and one servant to help, leaving him alone. The times Father visited me, I couldn't recall a single loving word spoken between him and my Damma. Everything was like a battle between them.
I watched my alien, who sat on a stool inside the containment bubble. This time, Tavi brought him clothing, and she fine-tuned herself.
A long and sleek black tunic lined with silver threaded designs that dipped in the back and lifted in the front, with a high collared shirt underneath and sharp, structured shoulders. Paired with black leather pants and thigh-high boots. Tavi clipped his long hair in the front, exposing his perfect face more, and it made me somewhat uncomfortable while comforting me at the same time.
He resembled someone I didn't want to think of, and it didn't help that Tavi went out of her way to make a smaller replica of royal Valisian attire. That bitch. But it wasn't as if anyone here would notice.
The alien avoided my gaze from his containment bubble whenever he could, making an effort to look away. We sat in silence inside the transport shuttle that exited the ship to the station, and I felt relieved when we could leave the shuttle to enjoy the fresh air of this planet.
I also wanted my new alien to feel this breeze, but decontaminating new alien species was protocol before allowing them to roam about.
I stepped off the shuttle, and the summer night breeze kissed my skin; it was the perfect time of year for their nightly festivities. Most of my crew had already fucked off, either fucking whores in some brothel, fucking each other in some cheap hotel, or gambling at one of the many gambling houses scattered about the station.
I would need Swarti to put together a roll call once we finished shore leave, as I knew it was easy to get yourself killed in some back alley if you weren't careful enough.
"Sir." Swarti greeted me with a salute.
"Swarti. What's your report?"
"A gang leader by the name of Feion is the new king of this station, beating out the Petra gang, which ran it for a while. He's in the process of weeding out the rest of the gang and those loyal to them, so there is civil unrest here. Parking a war vessel is only making them even more agitated."
"Is it the ship or me which concerns him?" I didn't want him to answer, if this was a place of agitation then I was feeling it, especially by the crowd of fools who had gathered to prod at my shuttle and alien. "Tell them to beat it."
"Many have never seen a drop shuttle of our military up close, let alone a human…new alien species, letting them gawk is harmless."
"Whatever."
It wasn't long before a group of Yogs descended on us with their guns pointed at our chests. The only good this did was scare off the fools who surrounded my alien.
These were Yogs, aliens we didn't even have to conquer because they gave us whatever we wanted when we made contact. They were small greenish reptilian-like creatures, but despite their size, they were stocky and aggressive, but they couldn't run shit if they tried.
Their various governments were near collapse when we found them, so they were likely just happy that anyone had come along and taken over. Most of them did well as bodyguards and shake-up boys for loan sharks and debt collectors, and we knew them to eat the fingers they removed from their victims as a warning.
"Lorvian Von Cra"ozatharn. We are here to… escort you to a meeting with our boss, he don't like to be kept waiting."
"Tell your boss, whoever he is, that if he wishes to see me, he can make an appointment like everyone else."
I heard Swarti pull his gun free.
"This stupid alien won't listen!" The other looked about in a panic, he had an itchy trigger finger I just knew it.
"Hold your fucking fire!" A long-legged Valisian woman approached; her skin-tight black leather suit showed off every nook of her assets.
Her black hair was slick back into a ponytail, showing off the sharp tip of her widow's peak, and her breasts were high. Like most Valisian women, she enjoyed showing off her cleavage. I looked to my alien in his bubble who turned away from me… again and I felt a sting of rejection, I didn't know how long either he or I would keep this passive-aggressive spat going.
"Your Highness." This woman held up her hands in surrender. "We did not mean to insult." She turned to one of the short green creatures and snatched his weapon away. "Kurik is an ambitious fool."
"He keeps it up, and he'll be a dead one."
"My name is Elvira. I work for Feion. I was supposed to be the one who greeted you, I apologize for my incompetence." She bowed low. "I heard the King selected you as an heir to the throne. I wish you good fortune and believe speaking to my boss can aid you immensely."
"Perhaps we should speak privately, and I would like a secured room. These people won't stop gawking at my alien and my ship.
"We can clear this landing zone and secure the suite at the Lucky Star hotel in the VIP district."
"Well, that's more like it."
"Follow me, if you please."
"Swarti, assign a soldier to look after my prize."
"Yes, sir."
We followed her through the landing port to the industrialized center, which was a small shopping hub. Different aliens from almost every planet lined the shops and food carts. She took me inside, and the music"s bass blasted through the walls with a deep beat. I didn't remember this station having a club in this spot.
She used a key card to access an empty comms room.
"We can call him here without interference."
"You mean without being spied upon." I corrected her before walking over to the massive holo communicator, allowing her to go to work to get her boss on the line.
"Why are you, a Valisian, taking orders from what I presume is not another Valisian?" I had to ask. It wasn't every day our kind took orders from anything other than our own.
"Not many Valisian here and I love it here, I couldn't take over even if I wanted to, and there is no better leader than Feion. He also saved my life, so that helps."
"And you're not assigned to a ship or…?"
"Or? What? A Harem?"
"Are you barren?"
"A brazen and rude question. If I said I wasn't, what would you do? Knock me upside my head and drag me away?"
"No, holding a Valisian against their will isn't something that sits well with me, no matter if they could give birth or not."
"Well, aren't you a strange prince?"
"Where is Feion?"
She hit the button to turn on the switch bringing up a shadow image, someone wanted to keep themselves hidden.
"Sir, he's here." She said, stepping away and allowing me to come into view, projecting my holographic image to the being who could be a light year away for all I knew.
"I apologize for the actions of my subordinates; I will punish them for the rude manner in which they greeted you."
"Just get on with it. What do you want?"
"You know, young prince. The times are changing more than you realize. Those who do not adapt are doomed to die out."
"If that's some sort of threat, then try harder."
"Quite the contrary, it's a friendly warning. I'm sure that is what your father wants you to learn. You're also not the only contender to the crown; you have four others ahead of you, and it wouldn't be difficult to convince them to latch onto an advantage when they see one, half-bastard son of a King."
I wanted to gut him open and tear his entrails from his belly. The brazen balls this bastard had to say such a thing to me. He revealed a private comms conversation with my father long before I reached this port!
"I'll meet with you." I sneered, keeping my rage in check.
"Excellent, and bring your …human with you. There are others of his kind here under my care. It may make him feel more comfortable."
He cut the call off, showing he was in charge; he wouldn't be the first who thought they were. I pulled my short blade from my gauntlet and pressed the tip against this Valisian bitch's throat.
Swarti lunged toward me but stopped once he saw my murderous gaze. "Sir?!"
"Feion wouldn't blink if you kill me. He would still wish to meet with you." A bead of sweat rolled down her face, yet she remained calm.
"You have no idea how much I want to kill something right now."
Resigned to her fate. "Do as you wish."
"You are brave, but you would regret those words. I would make you regret them when I scoop your eye from its socket and shove it right up your ass."
I withdrew my blade, and she sighed with relief that I did. I walked away, wanting to destroy everything in my sight. The conversation told me more than I needed to know. First, he seemed to have information on the alien in my care, which would greatly aid me.
Second, he had spies crawling around my ship, and my crew was willing to betray me!
Third, that cock stain needed to die for his blatant disrespect!
Hmm, so they call these aliens humans… Human.
"Swarti." I rounded on him, intending to question him about earlier when he called my alien a human.
"Sir?"
"Nothing."
"I think you should go to this meeting with a clear head and open mind and just hear him out. He is the wealthiest man here and one of the one percent of the planet. I'm sure your human will also enjoy the outing."
"I suppose." The desire to return to my… human was strong. What a fool I was for leaving him alone! What if a member of my crew was transporting him to Feion as we spoke?
"Sir!" I heard him call after me. I didn't give a damn! I ran through the streets, pushing every unfortunate drunk party reveler out of my way as I ran down the wet, bright-lit neon streets until I reached the large sign displaying the Lucky Stars Hotel.
A soldier informed me of the suite I was staying in, and when I reached the large white double doors, I saw two other guards posted at the door.
"You're dismissed," I said to the guards as they stood ready.
I entered the room half expecting the human to be gone or worse, his head stuffed onto a pike, his soft eyes dull with life. But he was there, still playing our …as he called it ‘cat-and-mouse' game but now wasn't the time for games.
"Nice place so far," he said as I let him out of the bubble. He stretched and shook his legs.
"Yeah, nice." I placed my hand over his mouth to hush him up, preventing him from speaking another word. Writing what I wanted to say was out of the question because he couldn't read my language, only speak it. I needed to get us out of this hotel in the most innocent way possible and as fast as possible. What a fool I was to accept anything from someone I didn't inspect before my arrival, and even then, would it have mattered? He knew I had one of these humans before we landed. There was no telling how long he had been watching me.
"Take a bath in the solution we prepared for you. It's an extra precaution to keep you from getting sick here. We'll be going out soon."
"Okay." He moved his shoulders. He sensed something off after I covered his mouth.
"I'm not stupid," I said in contemplation. "You only pretend to enjoy my company to plot your escape."
"I hadn't thought about it."
His attempt at a lie delighted me.
"I'm not angry. It's the smart thing to do. I would do the same in your shoes. I enjoy your deviousness. Just as much as I enjoy running my fingers through your soft hair and kissing your lips. I love how much smaller you are than even our women, yet you seem to embody our spirit."
"You could have stopped at my hair." He smiled.
I laughed and kissed him. I meant those words, but I'm sure they would also come with a price, and I wasn't sure if I wanted to pay it. But now, this Feion would know a small piece of information he could use to his advantage.
My human was with me against his will and plotting an escape from me, both very much the truth. But I was making my own play, and its success depended on my human"s decisions.
I slipped on my slimmer armor, getting rid of the large pauldrons, cape, and anything else that was bulky or could get in my way.
That armor was for showboating anyway, though my siblings enjoyed the fearsome pomp of entering a battle in such attire.
My real armor was a slimmer, black, and silver attire with small compartments for my short blades and blasters and another for my retractable pike.
It also came with boosters at the back for verticality. I didn't need the helmet, which resided in the suit's collar, and could wrap around my head with the push of a button.
I was ready for a battle, one that could come at any place and time, and I needed the speed and agility of this suit for such a fight.
