55. Demon

Demon

A s a demon and an Outcast, I never dreamed of children or a mate. Not like vessels do, at least. For those like me, a bonded is the only way to be redeemed for what happened eons ago. However, life is unpredictable, and I experience love like any other man. More than that, I know the joy of being a father, even if my child is yet to be born.

I kept my distance from Olivia until now because of how much my actions have hurt her, but this led to Mose contacting his parents and revealing the truth about Ansel. Knowing what he truly is made me think of a plan for how to take down Azael. My twin is still my main target because, in my eyes, he is even more dangerous than Ophyr. He tried to break Olivia by making her life a living hell. Since he knows who she really is, he will do everything he can to get his hands on her and use her powers for his own benefit. I will never let that happen because I’ll never let Azael get close to Olivia again.

To save Ansel from Asa, Olivia came up with a stupid plan. Mose was to drag Ansel out while Olivia distracted Asa. I knew it would end badly, and while I wanted to tell him to stop her, her words still reverberated through me.

I wish Mose, the real Mose, would return. He would never have done something like this to me.

I should have forced Mose to stop her before she got hurt or to at least let me do it, even if she ended up hating me for eternity. Mose let me take over the moment Asa stabbed Olivia, but it might already be too late. My divine power can heal but can’t bring back the dead.

My roar makes the entire house tremble.

If anything happens to Olivia or my child, I will make sure Ophyr and the Nephilims suffer, and never hurt anyone else, before following Olivia into the next life.

I clash with Asa before he can stab Olivia again, pinning his body against the wall. Not having my exalted body puts me at a disadvantage, but I can learn how strong Nephilims are. Being created from a demon and an angel, Asa is stronger than Azael. But, like all beings, he must have a weakness, and I won’t rest until I find out what it is.

Olivia’s body continues to glow as she lies on the floor, blood oozing from her wounds. I need to heal her quickly.

Tyson and Jasper reach us, helping me with Asa.

It’s the first time someone has fought by my side. When I was living in Hell, all the tasks given by Lucifer, I did alone. Divided, we won’t achieve anything, only united can we defeat our enemies.

My fingernails turn to claws and I bury them deep into his chest. Maybe if I yank out his heart, he will die. Asa looks at me like I’m just a mere fly. I should be careful of surprise attacks.

Jasper grabs the hand in which Asa has the sword and smashes it against the wall until Asa releases the weapon. Tyson quickly grabs the sword from the floor. Fear flashes in Asa’s eyes. It vanishes quickly, almost making me doubt what I saw, but I learned long ago to trust my instinct.

My claws keep digging, pulling apart bones; the cracking sound of them snapping under my fingers reminds me of the day I prevented Azael from fleeing.

Asa is not trying to stop me from clawing out his heart. Removing it won’t kill him. Interesting. Maybe I should remove his head and burn it. That usually solves these types of problems. I continue clawing his chest, wanting to dispose of his heart first before I go for his head. Some beings are killed only if several parts of the body are removed.

When I reach inside his chest cavity, I find no heart.

Amused by my findings or lack thereof, Asa says, “Ophyr removed the hearts of all Nephilims, leaving them incapable of having any type of feelings. This is why we are called Heartless.”

I wonder if they feel pain, because if my claws embedded deep in his chest do cause Asa any pain, he has yet to show it.

Asa frees his arms from Tyson and Jasper, grabs my wrists, and tries to yank my hands away from him, but the adrenaline is pumping through my veins, making me strong enough to oppose him.

“Sword,” I snarl.

Blowing out his brains is also an option, but handguns are messier than knives and swords. Besides, the sword has always been my weapon of choice, while Azael preferred the spear.

Tyson gives me the blade and I put the sharp edge against Asa’s neck. He tries to keep his expression neutral, but his eyes betray him. He isn’t scared of losing his head. Something is not right here, and if I don’t find out what it is soon, Asa will win his fight. And that’s something I can’t allow to happen.

“Go ahead,” Asa says. “It’s been a while since someone tried to remove my head.”

I push the sharp blade into Asa’s neck but no matter how much I cut, the head refuses to come off. Asa looks at me with boredom.

Ansel’s weak voice comes from the hallway. “If you want to chop off his head, you need to remove his liver first.”

Before Ansel can finish, my hand is already pulling out Asa’s liver. A bewildered expression appears on his face. I shove the liver in my mouth and chew it as fast as I can before spitting it all over Asa’s face.

“Fuck. You.” I pronounce the two words as clearly as I can as the metal bites into Asa’s skin. Moments later, his head rolls across the floor. His body slumps forward and I step away from it. His left leg is almost cut off, blood still flowing out of it, explaining why Asa put up little to no resistance. All the blood loss left him weak.

The sword slips from my hand and I rush to Olivia. Her eyes are closed and her skin is cold to the touch. If not for her shallow breathing, I would believe she is already dead.

There’s a lot of blood around her but her wounds seem to be healing slowly. I gather her in my arms and take her to the sofa. I use my divine power to speed up the healing process. Her body stops glowing and until Tyson turns on his flashlight, we are in the dark.

Tyson and Jasper crouch in front of the sofa, their gazes fixed on Olivia. They touch her, murmuring to her how much they need her.

The bond tying us to her feels weak but is not in danger of breaking. It’s the only thing keeping me sane.

Ansel makes it to the living room. He is in worse shape than Olivia. If all Nephilims are as strong as Asa, we are in deep shit. Killing him wasn’t easy. No wonder Wasp warned the Lords about the enemy army. The Elders should find ways to ally with the Sisterhood.

Ansel keeps dragging himself across the floor until he reaches us. Hesitating, he says, “I shouldn’t have kept something so important a secret.”

Without looking at Ansel, Tyson says, “We will talk about it, but right now we need to save Olivia.”

Ansel puts his hand on Olivia’s leg, his thumb gently stroking her skin.

It takes me several minutes to heal Olivia. I could always feel the baby, but now, her darkness is wrapped around him, and even with the help of my divine powers, I can’t coax it to let me reach the baby.

I keep her cradled in my arms, waiting for her to open her eyes. Tyson and Jasper try to take her away from me several times, but I refuse to let go of her. Once she is well, she will refuse to have anything to do with me. I will let Mose take over before she realizes I am here.

The light returns minutes before Rueben and Jon make it to the house. They stop in the doorframe, looking at all the blood in the living room before their gazes fall on Olivia.

“Is she…?” Jon asks, unable to finish his entire thought.

I shake my head and both Jon and Rueben exhale loudly.

“Why is there blood around your mouth?” Rueben asks me.

“He has cannibalistic tendencies,” Tyson replies for me, making both Rueben and Jon look strangely at me. “Olivia and Ansel need to go to the hospital. She was stabbed in the stomach,” Tyson let them know. While he doesn’t say anything about the baby, I know he is worried about him, but the focus right now is Olivia.

“The car is in front of the house. Khloe and Spencer are inside it,” Jon informs us.

Jasper stands. “Since it is obvious we won’t leave tonight, we should go to a hotel. At least Khloe, Spencer, and Rueben. Jon and Tyson should take Olivia and Ansel to the hospital while Mose and I clean the house and look around in case Asa didn’t come alone.”

It took Jasper and me until later in the morning to dispose of Asa’s body and clean the office and the living room. Tyson and Jon kept us informed about Olivia and Ansel’s state periodically. Except for needing some glucose, both of them were fine, and so was the baby. When I learned that, all the tension in my body left me, my heart leaping with joy.

Cleaning up blood takes more time than I originally thought, and Jasper is very meticulous about it, not wanting to leave anything behind in case the police get involved. While in Veross City, Lords can easily get away with things, it might not be the case in Malta, where the majority of the population is on the Dukes’ side.

Jon comes around mid-morning to see how things are going. By now, the office is mostly put back together and we are almost done with the living room.

The first thing that comes out of my mouth is, “Oo-Olivia?” I don’t even bother to hide my stutter; that’s how worried I am.

If Jon notices something strange about Mose, about me, he doesn’t say it as he replies to my question, “She and Ansel are at the hotel, resting. Ansel promised to answer any questions we might have when we get there. Khloe will be here soon and we will start packing.” He looks around the office. “After what happened here last night, it is clear it’s not safe anymore.”

Jasper feels guilty as he says, “I’m sorry for all the trouble we caused.”

“This started a long time ago, but I was a fool to think that by leaving the States, everything would end.”

Is he referring to Azael or another thing entirely?

“Besides, Olivia needs us.” After clearing his throat, he adds, “Tyson told me the truth about Olivia’s parentage. I never suspected that Azael betrayed my trust in such a way, but at the same time, it didn’t come as a shock. As for Hannah and Wesley, I should have guessed why they hated Olivia so much and only favored Jason. At least Khloe and I still have some time left to get to know our youngest daughter. I only hope she won’t hate us for what has happened.”

Jasper comforts Jon. “Olivia is the kindest and most loving person I have met. She’s been through so much and has forgiven so much. Each time I see her smile or hear her laugh, it amazes me. Knowing her, she will probably blame herself.”

A crease forms between Jon’s brows. “Why would Olivia blame herself?”

Because Olivia is used to giving everything and never receiving anything back. She first experienced unconditional love with Jon and Khloe–but that was probably short-lived, and recently with her bondeds.

“Because that’s how Olivia is,” Jasper replies.

Jon thinks for a moment before nodding as if understanding what Jasper meant before saying, “I’ll start packing,” and leaving the office.

Sometime later, Khloe and Rueben arrive, and the five of us pack and prepare everything to return to the States.

‘Relax. Olivia loves peonies,’ Mose tells me. ‘Or at least that’s what Ansel said.’

It’s not the type of flowers that worries me, but Olivia’s reactions when she realizes Mose and I made an agreement of sorts. He will take over his body during the day, and I will be free to do whatever I want during the night. In case of need, we can switch, like we did just now.

Olivia has yet to mention Mose’s involvement with the Bringers of Doom. I don’t even want to think about how Ansel will react when he finds out.

Mose and I stayed away from Olivia for two days, staying in Jon’s house, while the others found a hotel suite nearby. With everything ready for departure, there’s no need to delay this even more.

I knock on the door before entering the room Olivia and the guys share.

Olivia’s back is to me as she is packing her clothes. I stop a few feet away from her, not knowing how to face her. Both Mose and I did some shitty things which resulted in her being hurt. While I didn’t screw up things as badly as Mose, Olivia might not want anything to do with us anymore.

Olivia puts a dress in her luggage. “I knew you would be back.”

For a demon that was once one of Lucifer’s strongest warriors, all my strength leaves me when it comes to Olivia.

“Flowers,” I rasp.

Olivia turns to look at me. A radiant smile appears on her face. A quivered breath leaves me. I thought she wouldn’t want to see me. “Peonies. Thank you,” she says before kissing me and taking the flowers from me. After putting the bouquet on top of her clothes, she says, “I don’t think I’ve seen a vase around here. They will wilt soon.”

“Buy?” I offer.

Olivia grabs my hand and tugs me to the bed. “There’s no need,” she says when I sit on the edge of the bed. “We are returning home in a few hours.” Olivia climbs into my lap.

“N-not an-angry?” I question.

Olivia rakes her teeth over her bottom lip. “I was. Getting pregnant wasn’t something I wanted because I thought my body was weak. I felt betrayed when I learned about the baby and realized you didn’t say a word about what you did.”

Tears form at the corner of her eyes, and I kiss them away. “But,” she places a palm on her still flat stomach, “I’m not scared anymore. It took me a while to realize I’m not alone anymore. That I have five men and one demon who would do anything for me.” Technically, there are three more demons, but they don’t have the same agreement Mose and I have. Hell, I don’t even know if it would work with the others how it did for me. “My darkness kept the baby safe when I couldn’t.” After pressing her lips together for a moment, she pouts, “Tyson and the others were unhappy with me. They even raised their voices at me because I wanted to save Ansel.”

They should have spanked her until her ass was covered in bruises. If not for her getting triggered, I would have bent her over my knees, lifted her skirt, and taught her what happens when she puts herself in danger.

“Scared,” I try to make her see what went through their minds.

Olivia leans her head on my shoulder. “I was scared, too. Scared that the happiness I’d felt the past few months would evaporate. The only way to prevent Asa from taking everything away from me was to fight him. I was overconfident in my abilities, which could have cost me my life. We need to learn how to fight against Nephilims.”

I nod because I agree with her. Killing Asa was more complicated than I thought. I don’t bring up Ansel because Olivia, like the others, is more than aware that we must use Ansel’s knowledge to our advantage.

“I l-lo-love y-you.”

Olivia presses her lips to mine. Her hand travels along my body until it goes between our bodies and slips into my shorts. “I love you, too,” she says back before gripping my balls hard, pain shooting through my body, “but if you ever think about getting me pregnant again without asking me first, I won’t be as forgiving as now.” I nod quickly, letting her know I won’t do it again. Her hand slides to my dick, her fingers wrapping around it.

Blood rushes to my dick. I bury my face into Olivia’s neck. “S-Spencer?” I groan. While I want to fuck Olivia until we are both spent, I don’t want to traumatize Spencer.

Olivia moves her hand up and down my length. “My grandparents took him out for an ice cream. They will be back soon.” I pull at her clothes, wanting her naked but she pushes my palms away with her free hand. “Let me.”

I kiss her neck before I take her flesh between my teeth, biting her, covering her skin in love marks. I want her under me while I cover every inch of her glorious body in hickeys.

“Mose,” she gently moans.

Being called that never bothered me until now. I want my name returned to me. I want her to scream it when I’m inside her.

My lips slowly inch to her mouth.

“No,” I say against her lips.

Olivia grabs my face between her palms, “I will think of something to call you,” she promises before straddling me.

I grab her ass, my fingers slipping beneath her short skirt. The tip of her tongue licks my chin to my mouth before slipping between my parted lips. Only with me does Olivia act so dominant. I don’t mind. On the contrary, I love it when she takes the initiative.

I grind her against me, wanting to be inside her.

“O-Oo-Olivia,” I deliberately stutter her name because I know how much it turns her on.

Our kiss deepens.

My dick throbs with the need to be inside her, to fill her with my seed.

I should throw her on the bed and fuck her hard. I should show her how much she means to me. She is everything I have waited eons for. She is worth every moment I spent alone, every mockery I endured.

Olivia frees my cock from my shorts. I yank her panties to the side. Our chests are pressed together, our hearts beating against each other. Olivia guides me inside her, her pussy enveloping my dick in its warmth. She is so fucking perfect, so wet and slick, I want to stay inside her forever.

“Hellcniht,” Olivia says as she moves up and down, slowly fucking me. Rough sex is fantastic but I prefer to take my time, loving Olivia for hours. There’s no time for that now, but I’ll still make the most of being with her.

It’s been so long since I heard Hellcniht. It means hell-knight. I grunt my approval at her nickname for me.

We kiss again, our tongues dancing around each other. My right thumb goes to her pussy. I want to feel her coming around me, her pussy milking me of my seed. Her moans make me more wild for her. Shivers run down my spine. Does she know the type of power she has over me?

“O-Olivia,” I groan against her lips as her hips rotate, making me feel intense pleasure.

My thumb keeps teasing her. Her pussy grips me hard, letting me know she is close.

I press my lips to her neck, feeling her pulse against my skin. I kiss and suck her flesh. My other hand goes to her tits, and I squeeze them, one by one before I tweak her nipples.

Her breath quickens, and I pull back my head, wanting to see her expression as she orgasms all over me. Our gazes lock as she moans Hellcniht for me. I grab her waist with both my hands, and I fuck her hard as she keeps coming. My balls tighten. It won’t be long before I empty them inside her.

Olivia leans her head against my shoulder.

Sweat rolls down her skin and I lick it.

I keep pistoning into her, wanting to reach that pure bliss that only comes with her. Her pussy keeps milking me. The pleasure I feel makes me dizzy. I explode inside of her, giving her what she craves so much—my essence.

I wrap my arms around her, my lips showering her skin in kisses.

The door opens.

Shit!

I quickly shove Olivia behind me as I try to tuck my dick back into my shorts.

“Having fun without us?” Rueben chuckles. Behind him, Tyson looks at Olivia with eyes full of lust.

When we are home, we will install a lock on the bedroom door. I’m not made to support such stress.

“Want to join?” Olivia coaxes Tyson and Rueben.

After glancing at his watch, Rueben says, “We only have fifteen minutes before Jon and Khloe return with Spencer.”

Olivia smirks. “I only need two to make you and Tyson come.”

My cock stirs back to life. “Me?”

“Good thing I have three holes,” Olivia says.
