39. Jasper

Jasper

W hen we found Olivia in the forest, I never once thought that she would turn out to be such an extraordinary woman. Over the past three months, she has kept blossoming, emerging from her shell. I can’t wait to see what the next three months bring, and the next three, and so on.

Her entire face lights up as she says to me, “We are in!”

I let out a shout of joy. It’s only due to Olivia that one of my dreams will come true—to be my own boss. Olivia will be my partner. After all, she was the one who obtained the money we needed.

After Olivia healed my knee, I decided to go back to working for the Elders. I never liked that I had to retire so early. I always felt useless. That’s why I tried to start a business on the farm, but it didn’t go as well as I thought it would.

Since my knee is now like new, I am eager to earn my own money again, since my idea of working with abused horses and finding new owners for them failed because of Jason and his father—I couldn’t risk having more animals on the property only to have them killed. Many who work with abused animals have already learned of what happened on the farm and are more than weary to let me know of any more cases of mistreated horses. I don’t know how this happened, but I bet Jason is behind everything. That little shit. He must know how much Olivia loves horses, and he’s trying to take it away from her. At least we have Artax, Speckles, and her filly. And then there’s Juniper, who thrives being here. She escaped a few times yesterday, and I’m about to either build a fence so tall she won’t be able to jump over it or put a GPS in her ass and let her be. At the end of the day, she always returns home. We also put an electric fence around the property because we can never be too careful. Especially with Olivia still in danger.

Senator Deymar seems to be enjoying a wonderful life in Washington, surrounded by Dukes and it is currently impossible to get to him. Cirro is looking for a way to breach his security, but it will take more time.

We are patient because even if it takes years, we will make Senator Deymar pay for what he did to Olivia and for the deaths of our friends. Rueben even suggested going directly to Washington and killing the Senator when he is in public. We dropped the idea because we want him to suffer before we finally kill him, and because we don’t want to give the impression that the U.S. is under some terrorist attack. It could send people into a panic, more so when they learn that the Lords are behind Senator Deymar’s death. This has to be well planned. We are thinking of ways to show everyone who he really is first.

Then there’s Jason. From what Cirro could gather, he is not with his daddy dearest. After Tyson tortured his friends—apparently Sean made it out alive, but he will never be the same after what was done to him—Jason, the coward that he is, went into hiding. It’s a matter of time before Cirro tracks him down.

But the worst of all is Azael.

When Rueben, Tyson, and Ansel told me and Mose the entire truth about Olivia’s birth, it only made me love her more fiercely. She’s suffered so much because of that fucking monster. Azael doesn’t deserve to be called an angel. Not even they are so wicked. If not for Azael, the Dukes and the Lords would have found common ground and become allies or at least had a cordial relationship. After all, we are all here to find our way to the Garden of Eden.

Not caring that Olivia is still talking on the phone, I go over to her, wrap my arms around her, and lift her up. “This deserves a celebration,” I say, my voice loud.

Olivia laughs softly. The first time she smiled, I thought it was a miracle that I could see such beauty. The thought persists to this day, because I don’t know how Olivia can laugh after everything that has happened to her. She even lost a child. When Tyson told me and asked me not to mention the possibility of her getting pregnant via IVF because it triggers her, my heart fucking broke for her. Spencer would have been mine as well. Tyson never told anyone, but I cried that day. Not for me, but for Olivia.

“We can drop by Alekos’ office to sign the papers when we have time,” Olivia tells me. I let go of her.

The funding we need isn’t big, but after having to move, we’ve almost drained our accounts. It wasn’t only moving, but Mose’s restaurant as well. Without Alma and the real Mose, we almost lost the business. It was due to Stefan that we found a chef to take Mose’s place and we hired a new manager as well, and the restaurant is slowly coming back to life.

The business Olivia and I want to start is related to trauma and abuse. We will train animals who have been abused to be emotional support animals for victims of abuse or those who suffer from PTSD or are easily triggered because of what was done to them in the past. Olivia told me that being on the farm helped her heal, especially the horses, which she snuck out of the house to see during the night.

We will start with one facility and see how things go from there.

Rueben snatches the phone from Olivia’s hand. “Uhh, you are such an ass!” Olivia huffs and tries to snatch back her phone, but Rueben, being taller than her, raises his hand in the air and keeps away from her. “I’m not done talking to Angel,” she complains.

Rueben raises an eyebrow before freeing his dick from his pants. “Isn’t that a coincidence? We’re not done with you, either.” Then, to Angel, he says, “Olivia is about to get fucked,” before ending the call, and Rueben places the phone back on the table.

Olivia narrows her eyes. “No, I’m not,” she denies before stalking off and leaving the house.

Rueben sighs. “Back to jerking off with her panties.”

I give him a strange look.

“What? Don’t tell me you never wrapped her panties around your dick and jacked until you got them filled with semen, then put them back where you found them.”

So Olivia complaining about someone doing strange things with her panties wasn’t her imagination. “Why would I do that when her pussy wraps around my dick each night, and I get to paint her insides with my seed?”
