21. Eddy

Chapter twenty-one

Eddy

Nine months later…

I was not good at directing people around. Especially people I didn't know that well. I hadn't even been in Foggy Basin for a year yet. Thankfully, Greg brought Deanna, his party planner from Sacramento. And we let her boss everyone around. That worked out well. All I had to do was walk around and enjoy myself, and since it was my celebration, I was okay with that.

Brock was gracious enough to host, and his house was perfect. We had it decorated with fairy lights and streamers. His back deck had portable heaters stationed in three spots. It was cold and threatening to snow. Hopefully, it would hold off long enough to enjoy the outside a little bit.

Deanna insisted on mulled wine and a Hot Buttered Spiked Cider for outside with more traditional drinks inside. Brock even opened up his guest rooms, three of them, for anyone who couldn't drive after the festivities. But he also had a designated driver who could drive folks back to the Foggy Basin Inn or Pints 'n Pool, where Nate had a few folks from out of town staying.

Greg was staying at Nate's even though I'd begged him to stay with us. Brock had more than enough room, but Greg felt like we needed privacy. Which was a laugh with Jackie hanging around all week to help us prepare for this big party. He'd been a serious cock-blocker.

This was a big event, but compared to our last release party, it was intimate and sedate until someone turned up some music and pushed Brock's couch against the far wall so they could dance. This meant line dancing, apparently, which I sure as hell did not do. But Sharon and Paige were in the middle of everything, and they dragged Jackie and Brock out with them. Most of the guests hadn't even arrived yet.

Didn't matter. I pulled out my phone and took a few pictures.

People started showing up shortly after that. Greg was stationed near the door to greet them and direct them to the food set out in the kitchen and the two bars, inside and outside. Everything was ready and perfect, but nerves crept in, making me fidget.

Deanna appeared at my side and handed me a warm mug. The drink was rich, velvety and tasted of cinnamon and nutmeg. "Mmm…"

"Yep. Yummy, warm, and alcoholic. Everything's perfect and everyone here loves you." She kissed the side of my head.

"Thanks."

"Welcome, sweetness. Now enjoy."

So I did. More than any of the other game releases. This one was mine. A new game. A new beginning. And we even used some new tech that we developed to add a lot of incredible details, making it more realistic. At least where those spots could go in a fantasy game. But all of it without Kurt whispering about how it all happened despite my efforts, because I wasn't worth it. Fuck him.

He was rotting in jail in Sacramento, where he belonged. And his stupid hired man had charges against him as well. More importantly, Deanna was right. These people were family and close friends. And they loved me.

Brock loved me more than the others did. He had done everything to show me that since the day we I showed up in this small town. Brock saved us, and Kurt was arrested. I didn't know what the fuck to think when we got home and Brock started being an asshole, except I wasn't going to stick around and take it. I'd done that before. Never fucking again. But he'd been tired and scared. He thought I was going to leave him. Tears welled up in his eyes. I cupped his face and said, "Brock, I love you." Everything else was history.

I had my shit shipped out to Foggy Basin because I never left, and I didn't think I ever would.

The music switched to something slower, and Brock grabbed me from behind. "Dance with me, baby."

"Yes." I turned in his arms and put my free hand over his shoulder. We swayed back and forth as he leaned in and kissed me on the lips.

"Mm…you taste good. Whatcha drinking?"

"That warm buttery, cinnamon thing Deanna insisted on. It's good." I stepped back and offered him my cup.

After taking a sip, he hummed again. "That's good and strong."

I shrugged. "My party."

"It is indeed. Did I tell you how proud of you I am?"

"About a million times." I felt the heat of a blush on my cheeks. "But you can tell me again."

He kissed my forehead and pulled me closer with his hands on my hips. "Not only for the game, you know. You've really become something spectacular."

"What do you mean?"

"So confident. So sure. It's sexy, and I like it. A lot."

Nothing was sexier than Brock, especially when he wore those biker boots and a leather jacket. My cock stiffened thinking about it.

"Hey, can I cut in?" Jackie bumped his shoulder into mine, but Greg was right there, too. So we switched up, and Brock danced away with Jackie while Gregg wrapped his arms around me.

"What's up, bro?" I asked him.

"You've made us very successful, you know that, but even if that wasn't true your generosity and compassion…" Greg shook his head. "You're the best, bubby. And I'm so sorry I brought that asshole into our lives."

"Shh…We talked about that." And we had, long into the night. About everything. The things Kurt had said and did. My anxiety issues and the medication I was taking. The way Greg had shut me out. It hadn't been him, but Kurt insinuating himself between us. We hadn't realized it at the time, but he'd been slowly isolating Greg from all his friends and family. He'd done a number on both of us. And our employees. Albert wasn't about betraying me at all, and he never believed any of it, neither did most of my people. They were afraid for their jobs. In fact, several good people did leave without me knowing about it. That's how Kurt operated. The fucker. But a few of them, including Kurt's assistant, were fired. I couldn't have any of his supporters around. His assistant had charges against her for helping Kurt siphon money out of the company as well. He was paying her to do it, and there may or may not have been some blackmail involved too, but I'd let the court sort that out.

I hugged my brother tighter, and he hugged me back. He may or may not have been drinking too much already. "I love you. And nothing like that will ever happen again." He patted my back. "Promise."

I was still on medication, but it was different, for anxiety only, and at a lower dose than I'd been taking before because I didn't need nearly as much. At Brock's, I had a lot less to worry about, and I could trust Greg to run the business end and Alfred to keep security in check. I felt better than ever.

"Love you, too." I hugged him back. "I wish Mom was here, though."

"Yeah. But we can go visit her in a few days. Together. What do you say?" I knew Greg had gone a few times to see her, but I hadn't had a chance, though I regularly talked to her on the phone.

"Sounds wonderful. I miss her. And…I think I might bring Brock along with us." They hadn't met yet, though they had spoken on the phone. It was overdue.

"Perfect."

Other people came in and broke up our little love fest. Someone jacked the music up louder, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. I slipped into the kitchen to grab a few snacks before the drink went to my head. A few people congratulated me. But several were heading to the basement level, where we had the new game set up on three different systems. Everyone would have a chance to play it.

The basic idea for the space invader-type game had already been outlined before I first came to Foggy Basin. But after being here, I had to include a similar place for one of the venues in the game. It included a motorcycle club run by a hottie that resembled Brock. Of course. But it also had a few other small businesses on Main Street that were similar like a bakery and a hardware store. And a wide field of wildflowers where the aliens land. I hoped the folks from Foggy Basin would pick up the resemblance, but I didn't tell anyone else it was based on a real place. I didn't want my secret to get out.

After another drink and a little more dancing, which I never thought I would do, I realized I was having a great time. And I kept catching glimpses of other people enjoying themselves as well. Brock though, was at my side most of the time. Greg, Jackie, Sharon, and Paige, plus members of my security team, including Alfred, my stoic leader. He was somewhat of a hipster and always serious, but I'd even seen him smile this evening. And don't even get me started on our developers. That crew was weird and mostly stayed downstairs, but they were having a good time. Even Brock's nosey neighbor, Evelyn, was here. She was mostly in the kitchen, ready to talk anyone's ear off who ventured in for a snack. But that was alright too. She was harmless, and I had gotten used to her quirky stories.

Eventually, Deanna called everyone upstairs. And everyone clustered in the living room and on the back porch. Brock and Jackie pushed the accordion sliders to the sides so that the back wall was completely open to the outside.

Greg grabbed my hand and pulled me onto the deck, where we stood next to the center heater. He grabbed my hand and held our clasped fingers up over our heads. "Attention!" He raised his voice, and everyone quieted down. "Thank you." He shook our hands. "Tonight, we celebrate our new game release, Insidious Rule. We celebrate Eddy Queen and Queen Gaming." Everyone cheered, and Greg let go of my hand. "Wait. Wait." He held his hands up, palms down, until everyone quieted. Brock had moved to his other side, but I wanted him to put his arm around me and keep me warm. Before I could move around, Greg started speaking again. "But we're here for something else tonight, too. So, without getting into a whole to-do or whatever. Our host, Brock, has something to say."

I glared at my man. He smiled sweetly, obviously guilty of something. "I'm not much for words. So, I'm gonna get right to the point." He stepped out in front of Greg and looked at me. Then dropped to his knees. He pulled out a box from behind his back. Where? What? How the fuck had he hidden that? "Eddy." He used his gruff, commanding voice that always made my cock hard, like it was now. Thankfully, I didn't think anyone could see it in my jeans.

"What?" I asked when no one moved and everyone was quiet.

Brock opened that box. "Will you marry me?"

My eyes went wide, and I gasped. The ring was plain—a gold band. But it was perfect. I wouldn't want anything more than that. I wouldn't want anything more than Brock.

"Yes. Oh, yes."

He stood, kissing my face in several places, then picked me up and swung me around.

"Oh, shit. Put me down."

Brock laughed, but he put me down. When my feet were on the floor again, he kissed me once more, and this time, it was long and lingering on my lips. "You mean everything to me. I want you to be with me forever. I love you."

"I love you, too." I kissed him and buried my cold nose on his neck. Snow flurries picked that exact moment to start coming down. The deck was covered, but we could see the snow beyond the porch, and it was beautiful. I couldn't ask for a better night.

But it got better. Because eventually, everyone either left or crashed. And we went upstairs to our room. Thankfully, the guest rooms were on the other side of the house, because we had our own private party for two ready to happen.

We started dropping clothes on the way to the bed, so when I climbed on, I was down to my briefs. Brock crawled right on top of me. He still wore his black T-shirt and briefs, but I was sure they wouldn't last long. He bopped his nose against mine. "Love you."

"I love you too." I ran my hands over his shoulder blades and down his back. The T-shirt felt soft and warm under my hands—just like him.

"And I love that you let me boss you around in bed, but I want to be sure you love that too. I don't ever want to make you uncomfortable."

"I love it, Brock. It's…freeing."

"What do you mean?"

I gave him a quick peck on the lips, but I was actually stalling while I gathered my thoughts. Despite this being a celebration, the moment felt deep, and I wanted to explain this well. "When you take over, I don't have to think. I don't have to worry. Or be nervous. I have to do what you say. And enjoy it. And that's all. Does that make sense? I guess I get out of my head. Right?"

Brock nodded quickly. "I get it. I think. For me, it allows me to be in control of the situation. There may be a million other things I can't control, but this is one I can. And it's fucking hot."

"Yeah, it is."

"In that case…let me tell you what we're going to do."

My heart started pounding and my cock pulsed against the fabric of my briefs. We didn't always do this. But when he got in that bossy mode, I loved it. He wasn't wrong. He was so sexy with his dark hair and beard, fire in his eyes, and big, warm hands maneuvering me around.

Brock grabbed my hands and put them on the headboard. "Don't move these. Not until I tell you."

"Yes, Brock."

He kissed my forehead. "Good boy." His words went straight to my dick, and it leaked pre-cum as if it was begging for him. "Now. You're going to open this pretty mouth." He stuck his finger in my mouth, and I started squirming. "No, no. Be still."

I kicked my legs and wiggled to get it out of my system, then I lay still. I gave him a little nod to let him know I was ready.

He responded by rubbing his finger across my bottom lip. "Now. Open your mouth. I'm going to feed you my cock and fuck your face. Yeah? You're going to take it. Are you ready?"

Tingles fluttered all around my groin, my dick, my balls, my abdomen. This was the sexiest thing I had ever done. Brock made everything we did sensual in some way or another. My only response was to open my mouth like I was told.

Brock moved back, sitting on his heels. He stared down at me. "You're so sexy like that. I'm probably the luckiest man in the world."

My cheeks flushed at the compliment. But I didn't move.

Brock scrambled off the bed, dropped his briefs, and yanked off his shirt, then knee walked over me, straddling my chest. He put the bulbous head of his beautiful cock up to my lips. I wanted to kiss it or run my tongue over it, but Brock said open only, so I didn't move. I didn't know why it was even sexier that way, but it was.

Slowly, he pushed the rest of his cock in, but not so far that it would choke me. Then he pulled back halfway and pressed in again. He leaned over me with his hands on the wall above the headboard. He had complete control. "Your mouth feels so, so good. You can suck. Okay?"

I didn't answer, instead I did as I was told and added a little suction. Brock moaned and panted.

"I could come right now, but I want to enjoy this first. Are you ready?"

I grunted.

"I'm taking that as a yes. If you need me to stop, tap my hip. Otherwise, don't move. Do you understand?"

I grunted again.

"Good boy." Then he fucked my mouth for real. I sucked and reveled in the feel of his cock on my tongue. In and out. He pushed harder and faster but never too deep. He was so good. He tasted fresh and clean. As his cock spat out salty pre-cum, it made me want to grab his hips and pull him in tighter, but I kept my hands where he'd put them. They slid around a little, but I didn't take them off the wooden headboard.

Finally, when my jaw was aching and my cock was begging for attention, he pulled all the way out. He grabbed his cock and started jacking. "Keep your mouth open, baby. I'm going to come all over your face."

My Brock could be so dirty and raunchy, but I loved that too. I opened my mouth and stuck my tongue out a little, flattening it. I wanted to show him I was ready for whatever he gave me.

It didn't take him long before he shook, grunted, and came hard all over my face. He jerked again and sighed before looking down at me. "You look really good like that. You look like…"

"What?"

"Mine."
