Chapter 9
“ R aynaud…YES!” I screamed out by accident as my hand flew to cover my disobedient mouth.
After a day of wallowing around the castle. I decided it was time for me to make better use of what little free time I had. And what better way for me to help the staff? It’s my duties to strengthen the relationship between the royals and the coven witches. That’s how I found myself in the gardener’s office requesting Raynaud’s assistance for my private flowers. His father all but shoved him out the door. But he didn’t need to because Raynaud’s big tooth smile and his glazed-over eyes followed me like a sheep. I could ask him to do anything right now, and he would comply without a complaint.
That’s how I could sneak my sometime lover into the dark, smelly garden shed.
With my powder blue skirt bunched at my waist, Raynaud deep slipped inside of me. The earthy scent embedded into the small shed mixed with our sweat that dripped into a wet spot on the floor. My curls clung to my moistened skin. I grasped the edge of the hooks used to hold the gardener’s overalls to stabilize me as he pummeled deep into me. His large palms squeezed my heavy breast as his moans came out in a whimpered song made only for me. He fit perfectly inside of me, touching my elusive sensitive spot. With my skin so tender, it ached as he pinched my sore nipples. My voice was scratchy from keeping my moans logged in my throat. It was a shame he couldn’t make me cum because if it was one thing Raynaud knew how to do, it was fuck…and garden, I suppose.
Raynaud sputtered to an agonizingly slow pace, leaving the tip of his fat cock to rake over the soft spot that made my magic tuck itself into the depths of my lungs. I only needed a couple more strokes before the throbbing urge would die down. It was then that I realized I was begging my magic not to choke me for having Raynaud fuck me. My magic hated it almost as much as an emerald stone.
“I—I’m… Kaydian,” he stuttered.
The slick from his forehead landed on the back of my bare neck. I should be repulsed, but it made me gloat to feel how I affected him. I didn’t need to know what he was trying to say to me. He was about to shower my insides with his cum.
Gritting my teeth, “You got this. I believe in you!” My words sounded sporadic as Raynaud sped up, torturing me with the promise of an orgasm. One could only wish. Squeezing my tight cunt around his shaft, red and white stars dot my vision as the throbbing in my greedy pussy intensified.
What a waste of our time…
The darkness said, but I blocked its negativity out and continued to focus on Raynaud and the ache between my legs. No one is going to take this one thing I have left away. Nothing else mattered as I pushed back into Raynaud.
I squeezed my eyes and focused on the throbbing until the ear-splitting crack ricocheted in the shed. The bright light from outside washed over us. Shit was the very thought that came to my mind as I shield my eyes until they adjusted to the light. And I can only imagine how we must look with Raynaud still inside me as he trembled as his warm cum trailed down my thighs.
Well, at least one of us got off.
“Is this how you’re spending your free time?” My mother’s voice boomed. She stood with her formal coven attire on, with her arms folded across her chest, filling the doorway. The sunlight outlined her like chalk. She had on her long emerald dress with our jewels down at the center of the corset. Her hair, like mine, flowed freely down her back. Her frown made me shiver even from my angle.
My mother continued, “Young man, I suggest you take your cock out of my daughter, or your life will become ten times worse without it.”
“I—I’m sorry, your Majesty,” was all poor Raynaud could stumble out.
“Oh, shit,” were the only words that I could form as I pushed Raynaud out of me. The wet, sickening pop filled my veins with a scorching fire of shame. Even though I knew my mother had spoken to Raynaud. Her hard gaze never left me, and all I could do was look down at the dirt and sweat-encrusted floor while we shuffled to fix ourselves.
Poor Raynaud was the same color as the rust that lined the corners of the shed.
“Mother, I’m sorry. This was all my fault,” I replied. “I made Raynaud abandon his duties to…”
I still couldn’t look my mother in her eyes. Instead, I counted the ridges in the tin roof while my face was ablaze.
“Kaydian…” my mother retorted. “You were fucking your time away while the coven waited for you to satisfy your needs…well, try to, I guess, will be the better term, right?”
“Mother, I—” I sputtered.
My mother held a hand up. “What’s done is done. The coven is waiting. Come on. Raynaud, I hope you can find yourself to Tou-sin without the Princess’s guidance.”
“Yes, Your Majesty,” Raynaud said as he rushed past my mother.
“I hope you had your fill. It seems we need to put you to work more often,” she retorted, as the corners of her mouth twitched.
“Mother…”
“I’m not mad at you. Although I wish you chose someone not so inconspicuous,” she said as a smile broke out on her face. “It’s good that you’re exploring now because your fated mate might not be so open about exploring. But a little discretion is needed. You have a wing for something else other than whining in.”
Of course, my mother loved to poke fun at me. I nodded, which was enough for her as she turned around with a giggle and opened a portal to Tou-sin. My mother told me to go first, which was a mistake on my part. When I stepped through, she had transported us right into the middle of Tou-sin village with every coven member’s judgmental eyes on me. Sucking in the air, I found my spot next to the statue of Youna. My father, who stood on the other side of my mother, turned to me with an eyebrow quirked. I almost rolled my eyes in response, but knew better of it. We must not give the coven members any idea that there was turmoil amongst us or any of the Royal families, which was ingrained into me from a young age. Plus, I get the last laugh since my father wasn’t allowed to give any advice to the coven since he wasn’t a royal. My magic cheered slightly at the thought. Sir Reid and the golden army lined up around the buildings and the statue of Youna where we stood waiting for my mother’s coven announcements.
She opened up her black journal and skimmed over a page of her notes. My mother’s explanation of making the coven wait made them more duteous, never quite made sense to me. Yet, I never questioned it because her answer was always, “You’ll see when it’s your time to rule.” Just the thought made me shake my head.
Searching out in the crowd. I found Del, her parents, and her brother off to the side of the crowd. Tucking my hair on the right and watching Del do the same with her left was our signature code. It was the only way we could convey to each other that I’d spotted her in the crowd and that I wasn’t staring off into space.
A dull thud sounded in the center as my mother closed her book. “Well, this is an impromptu meeting in lieu of our normal meetings because, as you know, we’re getting ready to host the royal coven dinner in two days. As you all may know, our appearance means everything during this time, and we must prepare both the castle and Tou-sin. That means we need everyone to use their magic sparingly and focus on the most important tasks. We don’t need anyone passing out from exhaustion like last time.”
My mother stopped and look out into the crowd, singling out Mr. Petit. He was easy to spot in his white apron and yellow baker’s uniform. No one noticed how he shifted on his feet, but I hadn’t missed it.
A small smile touched my mother’s face as she continued, “I’m hopeful for this dinner party. I have a feeling it will be the beginning of a newness for our coven. Maybe it will breathe a new sense of life into all of us. With that being said, I need Khan to work the dam that night and into the next day. Hopefully, our guests won’t stay forever like the previous party we held. That’s it for this week, unless anyone has a problem they would like to bring forth.”
The coven members paused and waited for someone to make the first move, but everyone stared back with blank gazes. I thanked Youna for this miracle. Usually, someone was fighting over chickens or who encroached on who’s land.
“I have a question, your Majesty,” a young witch from the back said.
“Well, don’t be shy. Come up front,” my mother countered.
As the woman approached us, her auburn hair, which was pulled into an afro puff, greeted us first. She was at least my age or older, with skin the color of topaz. Her clothing was plain and wrinkled at the edges, and one of her toes was almost through the opening of her boots. If I were to guess, she worked in the crops with the Jamisons.
“Your Majesty, my name is Nellie Jamison,” she said, bowing slightly. “I won’t take up much of your time, but my family and I were wondering if you thought about bringing some of the outcast witches back to help tend to the crops. We are short-staffed since my sisters worked in the castle and in town. It’s becoming too much for us. Especially after my father went to the underworld.”
My mother’s smile never faltered. If there was one thing my mother and I agreed upon, it was about not bringing back the people who lost their magic.
“I’m still looking into it, Ms. Jamison,” my mother replied. “Please say hello to your parents for me.”
Nellie opened her mouth to protest, but she must have seen the pointed look on my mother’s face and closed her mouth quickly.
“Thank you, Your Majesty,” Nellie said before hustling back into the crowd.
Poor Nellie. My mother will never entertain that request. It was better to ask if she would allow the ghost to harvest the crops.
My mother turned to me. “Princess Kaydian, do you have anything to share with the coven?”
Once again, all eyes settled on me as I rubbed the thin layer of dirt that still coated my hands. “No, I think that’s enough for the day, but I will request that we have extra help at the Inn for the party. And let’s remember that everyone will be home early the night before. We don’t need to have the coven falling asleep in the kitchen. We don’t need another incident where the kitchen almost burned down!”
My mother glanced at me with a soft glint in her eyes. “Duly noted. Now everyone, let’s get back to work. We have lots of work to do.”
My parents and I walked home for a change. My mother kept teasing me about finding me occupied before the coven meeting.
“And what were you so preoccupied with, my princess?” my father asked.
I opened my mouth to answer, but my mother said, “Oh, she was gardening her rose.”
My face warmed as my father looked perplexed.
“Rose? Just one rose? I don’t get it,” he asked.
“Yes, the most important one of them all,” my mother taunted me.
She giggled while I walked beside her, mortified that she was laughing at me. I would rather die than have my mother catch me again. Running my hand over my face, I just hope I could make it to my room.
Youna, please send some good luck.
