Chapter Six

Red

"How's the ass?"

Tara gingerly slid off the bike, and I grabbed her arm to steady her.

"Uh, well, it doesn't feel like I have one anymore," she laughed.

I peeked behind her. "It's still there, baby. Probably just a little numb."

"A lot numb," she moaned.

"Yeah, you're gonna be pretty sore tomorrow. I would skip topless sunbathing."

She rolled her eyes and slapped me on my chest. "You're never going to let me live that down, are you?" she sighed.

I shook my head and wrapped my arms around her waist. "I liked having you wrapped around me, baby."

She sighed and tipped her head back. Her eyes connected with mine, and her hands glided up and around my neck. "That was my favorite part," she whispered.

Anticipation hung between us.

"Tara," I whispered.

"Can you kiss me, Red? Please?"

Her words hit me right in the heart.

The world paused as I closed the distance between us. Our lips gently met, and a gasp escaped her lips. I slanted my mouth, and we fit together perfectly.

I had wanted this from her since the day I saw her at her mailbox.

Her lips on mine, and not a care in the world.

"God damn, baby," I whispered against her lips.

"Yeah," she sighed. "I'm so glad I asked for that. You sure can kiss."

"I can do a whole lot more than that," I growled.

Her eyes flashed, and she plastered her lips to mine.

I wrapped my arms around her and lifted her. She wrapped her legs around my waist and delved her fingers into my hair. Her moans slipped into my mouth, and I stalked to my house. I fumbled with the keys to unlock the door while Tara pressed kisses to my neck. "You're so fucking sweet," I muttered. I managed to get the key in the lock and kicked open the door.

"Red," she whispered as she lifted her head.

We weren't going to make it to the bedroom. No fucking way.

I stalked to the kitchen counter and plopped her ass down.

Her hands ripped at my clothes, and she pulled my shirt over my head.

"My god," she gasped.

"Like what you see, baby?"

Her eyes met mine. "I love it." Her hands trailed over my chest, discovering every inch of my skin. Her hands went to the button of my jeans, but I pushed her hands away.

I grabbed the hem of her shirt and tugged it over her head. I tossed the shirt on the floor and then yanked her shorts off.

"Red," she gasped, startled.

"Last chance to stop this, baby," I offered. "You want me; I can feel it, but I'm only going to take you if you really want this."

"Walk out and go back to my boring life?" Her eyes connected with mine. "Life without you?"

I didn't want her to leave. Hell, that was the last thing I ever wanted. But I wasn't going to take her without her understanding that if we did this, I wasn't going to let her go.

From the day I saw her, I knew I wanted her. I connected to her, and I wanted her more than my next breath.

"Sounds shitty to me, baby. Only known you a few days, and I don't want to go back to not knowing you."

"Take me, Red," she whispered.

I didn't need to hear another word.
