CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO

With Jake in a guest house on Mick’s estate under the heaviest security, they waited for the phone call to come in from Rittenhauser. Charles took a break from Gloria’s reunion with her husband and mother and family and went out back where Jenay was sitting in her garden sipping tea. Ashley and Bonita were seated on either side of her, with Monk seated in one of the chairs.

Jenay smiled when she saw Charlie. “Hey there.”

“Still out here hun?”

“I love it out here.”

But when Charles went to sit beside her, nobody moved, which annoyed him. “Okay, everybody out of here. Can I have two minutes alone with my wife please?”

Monk and Jenay laughed. Ashley and Bonita didn’t find it all that funny because they knew their father was serious, but they got up, too, and they all left the garden.

“Gloria looks good, doesn’t she?” Jenay asked as Charles sat down beside her and placed his arm around her.

“Thank goodness he didn’t harm her or he wouldn’t be alive to take that call from Rittenhauser when it comes in. You know how Mick can be.”

“Don’t I know it,” said Jenay. “But he seems to be getting better and more patient with his children. At least that’s what I see when he’s around the twins.”

“He’s come a long way, I agree. The twins love him to death. Teddy and Gloria do too, but they still have issues to work out with Mick. All his neglect of them when they were kids don’t just go away.”

“Thank God your children didn’t have that problem. Their mother neglected them, but you didn’t. Thank God.”

“And you were there when we adopted Ashley and Carly. And of course when Bonita was born.”

Jenay smiled. “I’d better have been there,” she said, and Charles laughed. Then he looked at her and she looked at him in that loving way that always turned him on. And just that one look was all it took for him. He had to have it again.

He stood up, took her by the hand and hurried with her into the green house off from the garden. He walked with her to the back of the house, to the office, and went inside, closing and locking the door.

Against the wall, they kissed long and lovingly as he fingered her until she was ready. They were in so much heat that they had to escalate.

She faced the wall, he unclothed both of them from the waist down, and then he entered her with such a hard thrust that she was amazed at how deep down he got inside of her with just one push. And they made love with such passion that they prolonged it as long as they could. It was being with each other. It was that feeling of oneness. It was the euphoria of knowing that they could do this any time they wanted. It felt powerful.

When they came, it was electric as always, but with a twist. Because they were beginning to realize that their lovemaking on this side of living was even more compelling than on the previous side. As if they had a new lease on life and they were living it to the fullest extent possible. They came hard.

And when he pulled out of her, she turned around and they kissed even harder. So hard and so passionate that they did it again. This time from the front. But front or back, it was still everything and more to them. It felt wonderful and deeper and spanking brand new to them. They were like kids again exploring a brand new toy.
