Chapter 15
Taryn strolled through one of the main royal buildings, taking in the intricate details of the architecture and design. As she wandered, she stumbled upon a room she hadn’t visited before. She peeked inside and was surprised to see Losax and Morvex locked in a sparring match. Taryn’s eyes were drawn to Losax’s fluid movements, his powerful strikes expertly countered by Morvex.
As the match went on, Taryn inched closer, mesmerized by the display of athleticism before her. But as Losax noticed her presence, his attention faltered for a split second, allowing Morvex to land a solid hit. With concern overcoming her initial hesitation, Taryn rushed into the ring to check on him.
Losax signaled an end to the match and reassured her that he was fine, though he winced slightly when she touched the spot he’d been hit in. As Morvex teased him about being distracted by his audience, Taryn felt both relieved and embarrassed.
“I’m okay, Taryn,” he said, his voice calm and steady. “Don’t worry.”
Taryn reached his side, her worry evident on her face. “Are you sure?” she asked, her gaze searching his for any signs of serious injury.
Losax nodded, his expression warm. “Yes, I’m certain,” he said, placing a comforting hand on her arm. “Thank you for your concern.”
Morvex approached them, a playful grin on his face. “You might want to save your focus for the ring next time,” he teased. “I wouldn’t want to take advantage of your distractions again.”
Losax chuckled, his demeanor relaxed. “Point taken,” he replied, glancing back at Taryn. “Perhaps I should focus more on the match and less on my audience.”
A surge of relief and embarrassment rushed through her. “I’m sorry for interrupting,” she said softly. “I didn’t mean to cause a distraction.”
Losax shook his head, dismissing her concern. “No need to apologize,” he said, his gaze gentle. “I’m glad you were here to see a bit of our training. It’s part of our culture and helps us stay sharp.”
Morvex nodded in agreement. “It’s always good to have a new perspective,” he said, offering Taryn an encouraging smile. “You should join us next time.”
She managed a small smile, grateful for their understanding. “Maybe I’ll just watch from a safe distance,” she said, trying to lighten the mood.
Losax and Morvex exchanged amused glances. “Fair enough,” Losax said.
As the men prepared to leave the sparring ring, Taryn admired Losax’s dedication to his training and the camaraderie he shared with his second in command. The unexpected experience had also given her a glimpse into another aspect of his world.
“Did you have anything planned after this?” he asked as they left the sparring room.
“No. I was—”
Before she could get the rest out, Losax stopped abruptly and pressed his hand against the palm reader before ushering her into a room that looked like a storage space—albeit a clean one.
Before Taryn could even process what was happening, Losax pressed her against the door and kissed her passionately. The unexpectedness of it all left Taryn breathless.
Her lips trembled as his soft, velvety mouth pressed against hers. He pressed for entrance with his tongue, and she melted, opening to him. As their tongues tangled together, she ran her fingers through his thick, dark hair, surprised at how silky it felt beneath her touch. A woodsy fragrance filled her senses, adding to the intensity of the moment.
Despite any injuries he may have had, his body remained strong and commanding. He held her close with one arm while his other hand trailed down her back and pulled them even closer together. When his hand reached her breast, she arched into his touch, moaning as he stroked and teased her nipple through the fabric of her top and bra.
His cock was as hard as iron, and her heart sang with exultation. While he’d admitted to doing a lot of research on human customs, this wasn’t one she’d expected. In the short time she’d been on Naar, she’d learned there were some cultural similarities—especially when it came to family. There were still a lot of differences. One of them was exactly what they were doing right now. Synthari didn’t “make out”. So the fact that they were now doing it—and very well confused and excited her at the same time.
The pleasure was almost too much to bear, but she couldn’t get enough. It had been years since she had felt this kind of physical connection with another person, especially since she had been focused on her work on Naar. But now, with Losax, everything seemed to be changing rapidly.
“Oh! Oh, yes!” she cried out spontaneously as he freed her mouth, and they both gulped in oxygen. Darts of pure sensation streaked from her breast to her clit, making it flutter and throb as if powered by an inner battery.
“Taryn,” he groaned.
She loved that she’d driven him to the point that he’d lost control. Her hips jerked against him in response. She rubbed against his obvious erection, wishing they were naked right now.
As they continued to kiss, Losax’s hand traveled lower, slipping under the waistband of her pants and finding its way between her legs. He gripped her sex firmly as if claiming what he believed was rightfully his. She gasped and bucked against him, wishing they were naked so she could feel every inch of his skin against hers.
But even through their clothing, the sensation was overwhelming. His fingers moved expertly over her clit as he circled and rolled it with just the right amount of pressure. She was lost in pleasure and couldn’t find words to express it even if she wanted to. And with Losax’s lips still melded to hers, there was no need for words.
She clung to him desperately as he played with her relentlessly, driving her towards an intense climax that she knew would be unlike anything she had ever experienced before.
Their lips met in a fiery embrace, and she felt her body respond instantly. She’d been primed for his touch since their first kiss—and the dexterity he’d shown as she watched his beautiful hands pull up different holographic displays. Her pussy leaped beneath those same long tapered fingers, then clenched hard and deep and wrenchingly in a heart-stopping orgasm.
As the waves of sensation intensified, she struggled to catch her breath and stay on her feet. His weight against her and her grip on his shoulders were the only things keeping her from collapsing in a heap of pleasure at his feet.
Finally, her mind came back into focus as voices drifted from the other side of the door. With a final kiss, he withdrew his hands from her.
“You okay?” he whispered, propping her against the wall like a puppet with its strings severed. She still gulped for air, so she nodded, pushing her hand through her hair, feeling as if she’d been whirled in a centrifuge.
Losax moved swiftly to make sure she was presentable, but as he moved back, he grimaced as if hurt.
“Did I hurt you?” she asked with concern.
“No, I’m fine. Now come, we’ve been in here too long. I don’t know what came over me, but I just couldn’t control myself,” he admitted. “I apologize if I was too rough or hurt you.”
She wrapped her arms around his neck. “Losax, nothing that we just did bothered or hurt me in the least. I just hate that we don’t have time for me to reciprocate. I hope you will allow me to take a rain check.”
“A rain check?” he asked, puzzled.
“Yes,” she smiled mischievously. “It seems like you have some more research to do.”
