EPILOGUE

THREE MONTHS LATER

Jacob walked to theedge of the property as the wind swept through his hair and watched Leilani walk Charlie along the beach.

The border collie puppy was still in training, and he could see her giggling as Charlie tugged on the lead with his sharp little teeth.

God, he loved her.

After flying her back to the Hamptons two days after confessing his love—because they hadn't left her bed for twenty-four hours—Leilani had agreed to move in with him and start their life together.

Jacob was in the process of moving his office to NYC, which meant he got to see his other cousins more often. He'd purchased a helicopter and would go into the office three days a week, otherwise work from his office in their home.

More and more, the Dufort family was spending time in the Hamptons now that they had two properties, but today it was just the two of them.

Technically.

Leilani stepped through the gate, wiping her long hair off her face, and laughed. "He's so naughty."

"You need to be the alpha." Jacob smirked.

"No thanks. That's your job," she said, unhooking the lead and letting Charlie run free.

Jacob closed the gap and ran his hand over her tummy.

"How are you feeling?"

"Pregnant. And craving pickles," Leilani said, lifting her face, demanding a kiss.

He pressed his lips to hers and slipped his tongue inside, relishing the taste of her lip gloss.

"How about I spread you out on our bed and you can eat all the pickles you want while I lick your beautiful pussy?"

The blush on her face gave him the answer. Not that she ever refused him. In fact, pregnancy had only made her hornier, and Jacob was not sorry about that at all.

"That's how we got here in the first place." She tilted her head cheekily.

They hadn't used a condom when they had been staying at Fletcher's over Easter, and now they were expecting a little boy.

It was just as well they had two properties out here, as the Dufort family was expanding at great speed.

Jacob had even extended an invitation to Ward, Knox, Levi, and Atlas for Thanksgiving. It would be a few months before their son was born, and the entire Dufort family would also be in town.

Which worked in well with his plans for it to be a double occasion.

Hopefully.

"Everything happens in the Hamptons, princess." Jacob smirked as he slid his hand into his pocket. Then he pulled it out and slid a square cut diamond and gold ring onto her finger.

"Jacob!" Leilani gasped.

"Marry me," he said with absolutely no fear.

This was the woman he was going to spend the rest of his life with. He knew they were both stupidly in love with one another.

Doubt and fear were a thing of the past when it came to Leilani. He'd never let that shit get in the way of a wonderful life with her.

Or his family.

"You're so bossy." She smiled, holding out her hand to study his ring. "But you have good taste and I'm carrying your baby, so okay."

He chuckled. "Wrong answer."

"Yes, I'll marry you. Who else am I going to marry?"

"Try again," he growled playfully.

She pressed her lips against his. "I love you, Jacob Dufort. It would be my honor to be your wife."

"Much better." He grinned as he scooped her up and carried her inside their home.

Jacob smiled as he climbed the sweeping stairs, knowing he was a fortunate man.

He had the woman of his dreams and two families—both the Dufort's and the Montgomery's—and now he had his own little family.

No matter what life threw at him, Jacob would be the best husband and father he could be.

And now he had one of his own.
