EPILOGUE 1
ALICE
M y cousins both wipe tears from their eyes, and I use a tissue to dab at my own.
When I asked them, Suzy and Sam immediately agreed to walk me down the aisle, which we’re about to do.
But it was their decision to wear matching black tuxes.
“You look like you belong in a fairytale.” Sam sniffles.
I look down at my red satin dress.
The long sleeves are loose but collared at my wrists, and the neckline plunges almost indecently low. And at my side is a bow, where the sides of the dress tie together.
As my cousins each take a side and we start to walk forward, the skirt splits around my leg, exposing my thigh.
And when Michael comes into view and looks at me like that, I feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.
