Jacob

A ugust tenth. It's finally here… move-in day! I can't believe it's finally time to move to Colorado. We're all going to be together again. It feels like it's been an eternity.

The last two days since we loaded up the U-Haul, hooked up the trailer carrying my car and got on the road to CSU have seemed to take forever. The U-Haul's packed to the hilt with Dylan's belongings and ours. Gideon was true to his word when he said he'd get her witch of a mother out of the house, so we wouldn't have to deal with her. It made the packing so much easier. Almost as enjoyable as going through Dylan's underwear drawer. I now have a very clear picture of what she likes to wear versus the vision men have of what women dress in.

We've only stopped to take breaks to fuel up, eat, use the bathroom, and well, to steal a few hours of sleep. Neither of us could stay still for long, wanting to be with our girl. I hope Matthew is ready to share her when we get there because he's had her all to himself for long enough. Hell, she's been with him for practically the whole summer.

But today the wait is finally over. I can't stop fidgeting and Ford's given me an evil glare more than once because I'm bouncing around. I know the first thing I'm doing is wrapping her up in my arms and kissing her until I have to come up for air. Hell, I might not even come up for air. Dying, with her lips on mine and her tongue in my mouth, isn't a bad way to go.

"Ten miles." Ford's deep, exhausted voice pulls me from my thoughts. "Just a little bit longer and we'll be there. Well, not to our final destination, but we'll have Dylan with us."

"Can you believe we're all about to be together without any obstacles standing between us?" I gaze out the window, taking in the scenic view of the sleepy college town, such a contrast to where we just left.

"Are you going to tell us this secret you've been keeping but hinting at?"

A pain ricochets through my arm at the same time Ford shouts, "Punch buggy!"

I rub my arm, trying to ease the ache as I fume. "Seriously, dude, are you six? Who even plays that stupid game anymore?"

"Me, and I bet Kitty does too."

"You're delusional," I snicker, still pissed about the burning in my arm.

"We'll see," he gloats proudly, like he's privy to some secret I don't know. He is, kind of. Ford is holding something close to his heart, not wanting to spill the beans until we're all together.

He shifts his gaze from the road to me, flashing a devilish grin that warns me he's up to no good. "In due time, my man, in due time. But don't worry, it's a good secret. One we're all going to love."

Matthew had already let us know that he wouldn't be available to help move us in, since he had to work as one of the faculty liaisons today. He did promise to join us once he wrapped everything up, so he'd get the surprise late, but Ford assures me he'll love it too. In the long run, it benefits all of us…. or so he keeps telling me.

As we pull up at the curb in front of Matthew's place, Pickle comes bolting down the steps. I'm barely out of the truck before she's leaping into my arms, kissing me. I slip my hands around her, cupping her ass as I lift her up. Her legs snake around my waist, as if they were meant to be there.

We'd kept her in the loop via texts and calls as to where we were. Matthew even added us all to his phone plan, so we could have the family tracking app. It was a way to keep up with where everyone was, while providing security as well. It's a dangerous world, he had lectured us. When he had a moment away from Dylan, he called us and reamed our asses for letting Dylan leave and come to Colorado alone, without him knowing. Her sitting on the steps had him worried, because anything could have happened. It wasn't until he brought it up that it actually registered how dangerous it was.

"I missed you so much. Facetime and texts aren't the same as seeing you." She finally comes up for a breath and I set her down on the sidewalk.

"I know, Pickle, but we're here now." She kisses me again, as Ford clears his throat, finally making his presence known beside me.

"I know. I'm so excited you're here and we don't have to be apart again."

"Are you ready to see the surprise, Kitty?" Ford asks.

She nods. "Yeah, I can't wait."

"Then what are we waiting on, let's go," Ford announces.

"Let me get my keys and lock up." She turns, rushing up the steps, disappearing into the condo.

"I could watch that ass all day," Ford groans from beside me. I can't lie, I could too.

She's back in a flash, a smile beaming on her face. I open the passenger door for her to slide in the back seat and Ford and I get in the front. She rests one of her hands on each of our shoulders, squeezing gently.

"Now for the big surprise," Ford announces, changing the address in the GPS to take us to the next location.
