Chapter 13
Thirteen
To say I am confused about all that has happened within the last few days would be an understatement.
And yet, for some reason, everything feels right. Like this was the way it was meant to be.
I had spent the entire day baking until I ran out of ingredients–don’t judge me, I bake when I’m stressed–and the neighbors got tired of accepting my offerings. Before I could run over to the grocers Raiden and Will decided it was better to distract me until I was so exhausted I passed out for a few hours.
Operation orgasm distraction for the win. Ten out of ten I would highly recommend, that’s if anyone asked me what’s a good way to distract oneself right before planning an unsanctioned heist.
According to Raiden, the council members will set Jack’s vessel out on the platform right before midnight, as part of a show to support their made up story. By having him in the center of the village people will believe that he is keeping the demons of the night from attacking. The reality is that we just aren’t that important for anyone, demon or otherwise, to come after us. As long as we keep to ourselves every other race will continue to leave us alone.
But that doesn’t help me ease my anxiety and no, orgasms might help, but they don’t stop it from returning after the blissful high wears off.
I should be tired but adrenaline was riding me hard. Almost as hard as Raiden, when Will sat in the chair to watch…
The laughter and screams from children have long stopped, their parents eventually rounding them up and sending them off to bed after a long evening of trick or treating the neighborhood. While the flow of costumed children helped me with unloading most of my baked goods, their constant knocking kept annoying Raiden, who was trying very hard to distract me, before I was done baking. Something he knows better than to do, especially after the last time I almost burned a batch of cookies because of him.
So, instead the little thief set his sights on my caramelized nuts, finishing off the batch saying I didn’t need them any longer for dreaming of my future mates–definitely an old wives tale–since they will be in my bed every night. Won’t my mother be happy, though I’m not sure how she’ll feel about me having more than one husband, let alone men who aren’t warlocks but that’s a problem to worry about later.
Right now, I want nothing more than to rescue Jack from the council.
Once we were sure everyone was well asleep, preparing for the morning ceremony starting All Saint’s Day, we snuck out of the apartment, keeping our footsteps light as we walked past my neighbor’s doors.
Raiden’s magic wrapped around us, adding a layer of silence, just in case.
Unlike every other night, all the street lights were turned off. The clouds overhead were so thick not even the moon lit our way.
With Will walking on my left and Raiden on my right, each holding my hands to keep me between them, we made our way through the village, heading for the square. Tiny blue flames would flare to life in front of us, casting a low glow, and disappearing as soon as we walked past, guiding our way.
As we rounded the corner the green glow of Jack’s essence called to me from his place on the little table standing in the center of the stone platform.
Coming to a stop, I tugged on the men’s hands, looking around the area, “I thought the bonfire was supposed to burn for four nights.”
Raiden rolled his eyes, “You think they would spend their energy on fueling something like that? This generation is even lazier and more power hungry than the last.”
“Stay here, I’ll be right back,” Will let go of my hand, his human body fading right before my eyes, replaced with his dancing blue wisp form.
Raiden pulled me into his embrace as we watched Will travel through the dark square. Every window was dark, not a single soul moved about.
Eyes focused on the green flames, I couldn’t help but jump back in shock as it suddenly disappeared. A few minutes later he showed up in front of us, his form resembling that of a translucent ghost, as he held the pumpkin in his hands.
Smiling, he motioned us to follow him, leading the way through the square, towards the grocers. At the edge of the forest flickers of blue lights greeted us as we approached, guiding us down the path. The fog enveloping us as we walked along, enshrouding us in silence.
“Where are we going?” I looked around as I continued to follow Will, wondering if we were heading towards Grandmother’s cottage or to somewhere else.
Wait, should I have packed a bag for camping? What does one even bring to stay the night in the woods? I need a tent, right? I don’t even own a tent.
Raiden squeezed my hand, drawing my attention to him, “You’re thinking too hard again.”
“Don’t worry. We’re going somewhere safe, where the council won’t sense Jack’s release.”
“Oh, good,” I let out a sigh of relief. Then the meaning of his words hit me, “Wait, what?” I turned back towards Raiden, my voice high coming out high, “Why would the council come after us? We aren’t doing anything illegal.”
“My sweet, innocent, treasure,” Raiden sighed, “They don’t care.”
Ahead the fog lifted, leaving us at the opening of a small clearing surrounded by tiny blue flames. Overhead the clouds parted, allowing a full moon and the stars to shine down upon us as we entered the area.
Together we walked to the center, Will placing the pumpkin down on the grass while I sat down facing it. Raiden sat at my side while Will took on his human form once more, pulling me into his embrace so I was now sitting on his lap.
Suits me fine, keeps me off the damp grass. Plus, he was naked. I can’t seem to find the downside to any of that.
Leaning back against his chest, I sighed, enjoying the heat emanating from his body.
“A sacrifice can only be made with the same soul once, but if the vessel, which acts like Jack’s body, is destroyed and he is pulled into a new vessel, they can do the spell to sacrifice him again,” Will answered, ignoring Raiden who was trying to play grabby grabby and pull me into his lap.
Such a child.
The meaning of Will’s words hit me, making me gasp as I stared at the pumpkin, “And in turn, stealing more magic from the people during the second ceremony. So what can we do? How do we stop them?”
“First we release him from the vessel,” Raiden’s smile was borderline manic, as he lifted the lid of the pumpkin, tossing it aside, “Then we bind his soul to a new vessel.”
The second part of his instructions were lost on me as the pumpkin began to crack, a red light pulsing like a heart beat before it disappeared. Inside the green glow curled out in a column, creating a human form similar to Will’s. His shoulder length brown hair was unkempt, looking disheveled as if he had been running his hands through it for hours. A light dusting of hair grazed his jawbone, adding to the ruggedness. But his eyes… So green they were like the blades of grass in the summer, held me in place as an overwhelming need took over.
This man… he is like the others. He is a missing part of my soul.
Now that I had two other mates it was hard to ignore the pull to the man standing before me. Not that I even wanted to try.
My breath stuttered, my core tightening as my panties became damp with need, as Jack knelt in front of me.
“Why are you guys always naked?” I could have slapped myself as the guys chuckled, but I ignored them because I’m not a horny teenager… “And where are we going to get a new vessel to keep him safe until next year?”
Jack cupped my cheek in his very warm hand, his thumb tracing the curve of my jawbone, nearly distracting me as he answered, “You would be the new vessel,” his words were soft, almost hesitant, “That’s if you agree, my little witchling.”
“Is that what you want? To bond with me, like they have?” I closed my eyes, enjoying his touch, while simultaneously afraid of his answer.
Soft lips pressed against mine, an answer in itself despite the murmured words, “I would like nothing better than to spend an eternity with you.”
His gentle kiss turned hungry, his lips consuming mine as his tongue stroked against my mouth, begging for entry. Hands reached for me, touching every bit of my body as my clothes were removed. Stirring my own need for them into an all consuming fire.
“Don’t worry, love. We’ll take care of you. Just relax,” Will whispered in my ear, his hands guiding me to the softest grass to ever touch my skin.
With every stroke, every touch, I found myself needing more for fear I would die if they were to stop.
As I moved beneath their firm touch my wild magic woke up, purring as she wrapped herself tightly around their own, until I couldn’t tell where one ended and the other began. Our souls lifting together as one, strengthening our bonds, and renewing silent vows to always be together.
Will held my hands down above my head, his tongue diving into my mouth as his other hand played with my nipple.
Raiden kissed my other nipple, nipping and licking every now and then, as his hand reached down, stroking my clit. One moment soft. Then next pressing down, sliding between my wet folds. Each distracting me from the moment Jack notched himself against my opening.
The moment he pushed forward, my back arched, gasping as I realized just how big he was.
Jack held himself still above me, watching every reaction of my body, “Are you alright?”
Gulping, I nodded, the muscles along my channel relaxing, allowing him to push in a little bit more. Once his pelvis was pressed firmly against mine, he held himself still, his body shuddering as my muscles clenched him, trying to pull him in further. Never wanting him to leave and yet I couldn’t help but shift about, the pressure building inside, demanding release.
“I need you,” clenching my fists, I lifted my hips, hoping he would get the hint.
The others continued to stroke my body, my senses heightened as I began to spiral higher and higher. Each stroke of his cock pressing against that spot inside me, adding to the fire threatening to consume me.
When it became almost too much, he stilled, his release flowing into me, pushing me up and over that last bit of the edge. Everything turning a bright white as the stars themselves exploded.
Gentle arms wrapped around me, pulling me tight to their chest as we rolled over.
Sighing, I closed my eyes, feeling my other two mates laying on either side. The soul bonds between us hummed in my veins, leaving me feeling content in the knowledge that they are here, with me, together for all eternity.
