Chapter 5

Five

Gem

As we arrived in Blue Haven, the main street was already closed off in preparation for the festivities starting tomorrow. I led the guys through a back alley to my shop, guiding them in through the back entrance and directly into my office.

I set the Necronomicon on my desk and turned to Oisin. “What ingredients do we need?” I asked.

“Bat wings, salt, six black candles, chalk, and fresh blood,” Oisin listed. I dashed around the shop, gathering the ingredients and bringing them to my office. “The fresh blood needs to be last. I’ll set everything up.” He glanced around my office. “We need a bigger space.”

“We can use my apartment,” I suggested. I grabbed the supplies while they collected their bags. We went back through the back entrance, locking it behind us, and then made our way to my apartment. I unlocked the door and let them in.

“This is an amazing space, love,” Jude complimented, and I felt my cheeks flush with embarrassment.

“Thank you. It took a lot of time, sweat, and money, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything,” I said, setting the supplies down on the coffee table before pushing it and the couch out of the way.

“This will work perfectly. Give me a moment to set up,” Oisin replied as he began drawing a pentagram on the floor with the chalk. He lined it with salt, placed each candle at a point, and handed me the last one.

“Why the bat wings?” I asked as he set them in the center.

“It’s his favorite snack,” Oisin replied with a chuckle. “Okay, Gem, please stand outside the circle.” I followed his instructions, holding the candle as Jude handed Oisin a knife. Oisin lit all six candles with a wave of his hand.

“Your non-dominant hand, please, beautiful,” he said. I extended my left hand. “I’m sorry, beautiful.”

“Just do it,” I replied, and he nodded sadly before making a cut across the fatty part of my palm.

“Hold it over the circle and repeat after me. Apeiros te voco.”

“Apeiros te voco.” I repeated and a purple light flashed in the circle.

A stunning black haired man with purple eyes, dressed in a business suit smiled like the Cheshire cat when he laid eyes on me. “Well hello chéri,” his eyes flickered to Oisin and Jude, “Ah my warlock, you figured out my riddle. So this beautiful witch must be our final piece.”

“She is, but you already knew that since you left her the Necronomicon after I destroyed it.”

Apeiros laughed. “Of course I did. I could smell our beautiful mate from miles away when you summoned me. Now that our quartet is complete, I can leave Hell for good, and we can all be together for as long as we desire.”

“So, are you allowed to leave the circle?” I asked.

“Just break that salt line so I can finally claim my mates,” Apeiros said, licking his lips. I looked at Jude and Oisin; they both nodded. I nudged the salt with my toe, enough to disrupt it. Instantly, Apeiros was inches from me, breathing me in.

“Oh, my mate, you are just as delicious as I sensed when Oisin summoned me,” he said.

“You could smell me from all that way?” I asked, and Apeiros nodded, reaching out to brush my cheek.

“Oh yes, chéri. Demons have a much more powerful sense of smell than our dear Jude,” Apeiros said, blowing a kiss in Jude’s direction. Jude blushed.

“Apeiros, I’m sorry; I didn’t understand what you were trying to say,” Oisin apologized.

“It’s okay, mon trésor. I forgive you. We’re all together now, aren’t we?” Apeiros smiled. “Come closer, you two. I want to touch you both.” He demanded, and the guys moved to stand on either side of me.

Apeiros cupped each of their cheeks and smiled. “Do you feel it, Jude?”

Jude smiled and nodded. “Yes, you’re my mate.”

“So what happens now?” I asked. “How does this work with all four of us?”

“Well, my innocent witch, first we have sex, then Jude and I will bite the other two. There’s a spell I can show you that will mark us as yours,” Apeiros said with a grin.

I blushed and looked away. “It’s been a while for me.”

“That doesn’t matter, love,” Jude said softly, gently turning me to face him. “None of us care about that.” I saw the other two nod in agreement from my peripheral vision.

“We’ll show you what it’s like to be pleased. Now, why don’t you show us to your room, chéri?”

“Yes, sir,” I said instinctively, and Apeiros growled in appreciation.

“Good girl,” he replied. “You’re nervous, chéri. I can hear your heartbeat racing.”

“Like I said, it’s been a while, and I’ve never been with three people at once.” I replied heading towards my bedroom.

The door to the guest bedroom swung up and Gram stood there. “Gem, you’re home.” She looked at the four men behind me, “And with company.” She said with a cheeky grin.

“Gram what are you doing here,” I asked, knowing any chances of completing the mating tonight would be zero.
