Saul

I watched Sirah as she came out with a blanket for the woman responsible for giving birth to the abomination she married. Irene Taylor reacted just as I needed her to when she received an anonymous message stirring the pot. It was a little payback for mistreating my girl. After comparing how my mum was with Katya, it was horrifying to read half of what she had done and said to Sirah.

Tears were now streaming down Irene’s face, and she rummaged around in her bag until she pulled her phone out. She had the gall to phone the police while Sirah placed the blanket around her. Had she released the chair, none of this would have happened. My veiled threat against her son had little impact on the tenacious woman. When I glanced at Sirah, she was rolling her eyes at the woman’s dramatics.

The woman had an odd relationship with her son. It seemed since her husband died, she clung to her son’s life in an obsessive manner. I didn't have children yet, but I hoped I would let them fly the coup at some point. Our parents had given us the tools to succeed, and we learnt from our oversights.

“I’m sorry, did you say you were viewing a house?” Sirah asked as she moved away from the hag.

“Yes, I’m waiting for the agent to bring the keys. I came a little earlier to view the area,” I said as I took her in. Her guard was up, but that wouldn't deter me.

“I have your number if the police need to take a statement. I don't want to keep you,” she said with a stiff smile.

It was time to retreat. My work here was done. Her focus would only be on obtaining a divorce. The time at her parent's house had done her a world of good.

“Of course. You have my number,” I said before I turned to leave.

It wasn't long until I saw the ambulance and police show up. I owned both houses and had CCTV cameras at the front and back of the properties. Irene could lie all she wanted, but like her son, she was caught on camera.

I lay on Sirah’s bed and held her in my arms. Her warmth, scent and soft body had me on edge. It was as beautiful as it was torturous. I held her ass cheek in the palm of my hand, but my fingers itched to feel her pussy.

She hired Warner as her divorce attorney, and he had Ryan by the balls. The prick had tried to stake a claim on Sirah’s hefty pension pot. The one she had been paying into years before they got married. She truly deserved a better man than him.

The thought of Sirah being a free woman made my dick jerk in my pants. After refilling her shampoo and body wash bottles again, I thought I was done for the night. It was handy having a house next door to hers. Our front balconies were next to one another, and so were the back courtyards. She wasn't aware I had moved in yet.

The police complaint was dropped after I provided them with the footage. Sirah had told her friends that she applied for a restraining order. She sighed in her sleep, and I rubbed her back until she snuggled closer to me. The clock was ticking, and we were approaching December. I stroked the curls away from her sleeping face.

There was no escape for my girl now. I was in too deep .

I checked my phone to see her tiny dot get ever closer. The picture I had of her on her contact profile was one I’d taken while she slept. There was never enough footage of her, and sneaking into her home to be close to her had become a habit.

Her location dot entered the building, and I fixed my tie before I smoothed my hair over. Just as she approached the lifts, the doors opened, and my stupid brother stood there. Panic ensued as I tried to close the lift door, but Seth got out of the lift.

“Why are you loitering down here?” he asked, but my eyes were on Sirah.

Seth’s fat arse blocked me entirely from her view. She was oblivious to us as she tapped away on her phone. The lift door opened, and she stepped inside.

“Oh my god, was that her? Does she work here?” The idiot babbled.

“Why are you down here?” I snapped at him, ignoring his questions.

“Coffee. Was that your woman?” he asked with a grin.

“Get me a double shot latte, thanks,” I said, stabbing the button for the lift.

Now, I would need to instigate the entire scenario tomorrow because of Seth.

“When are you going to introduce me?”

I glared at him. Because of him, I could barely introduce myself.

“She doesn't know that you're the psycho bastard that caused her divorce, does she?” he asked as he rubbed his beard.

“I can't tell you anything, and I won't rush this, Seth, but keep your big fat nose out of my business,” I told him before shoving him away from the lift door. “Coffee is on you since you ruined my morning.”

“Where have you been staying, ? Mum said you hadn't been home, and I stopped by a few nights ago, and you weren't in,” he said with glee. “Doing recon?”

“Do you want me to tell Mum you're hiding her grandchild from her?” I said, shaking off my ire.

His smile fell away, and his face turned a shade paler.

“Creepy, stalking, grassing bastard,” he muttered as he began to walk away.

“Takes one to know one. Double shot latte,” I shouted after him, but his words made me doubt introducing myself at work, especially since I lived next door to her. She didn't know I’d moved in yet, and it might blow all my hard work.

Fucking Seth and his big mouth .
