Saul

I stood over my girls and listened to Isla’s heartbeat for a while before I moved the stethoscope to Aria’s chest. No matter what I tried in therapy, I couldn't help but check to make sure my girls were breathing properly every night. Sirah had given up on me, but I think it gave her peace of mind that I was so vigilant. I could tell by how loudly she was snoring when I left our bedroom.

Their matching padded snowsuits were ready for this year's Winter Wonderland event. All I had to do was keep humans and their nasty germs away from my babies.

I removed the stethoscope from Aria’s chest and gazed at my beautiful girls. All three of them were sleeping peacefully, as they should. Sirah decided not to return to work, and I couldn't blame her.

Who would want to leave these adorable angels?

I touched their tiny heads and stroked their hair. It was too short to make new decorations with, but I could put my creative side to good use again in another few years.

In the meantime, I would need to make do with the ‘secret’ surprise Sirah had commissioned for my Christmas present. The gift was framed cartoon figures using our girls' hair as curls over their foreheads. It was complete with their names and dates of birth.

When we found out we were having a girl, it came as a shock, and every demented, turbulent thought had invaded my brain about how I could protect them. Since I had used all my energy in concocting a solid plan for our daughter only to discover we would have twin girls, I had already made peace in becoming the best girl Dad I could be.

I sighed at my nightly dilemma, leaving my girls for their mother. I gently stroked their soft, silky hair one last time before hiding the stethoscope. Sirah had enough ammunition against me as it was.

“Goodnight, my angels. I will see you in a few hours,” I whispered. “Daddy loves you.”

I smiled at the thought of beginning new Christmas traditions for our children this year. Adding their names to our little tree was only the beginning. My parents were beyond themselves, and my Mum appreciated the countless photos and videos I sent her. If she could, I think she would kidnap all of her granddaughters and take them home.

I smirked at the thought of the increased security around my house. She could try, but no one would ever get close to my girls. After all, I knew how a criminal mind worked, and it was due to this knowledge, I could rest a little easier.

I eased myself into bed, being careful not to disturb Sirah. She needed her rest before the girls were hungry again. It had been five hundred and five days since I met Sirah, and she had tilted my world in the best way possible. I inhaled her new scent and felt my dick stir.

I considered how pissed she would be if I got her pregnant again. The thought made me smile as I drifted off to sleep.

The End.
