T here is a chilly wind blowing outside while clouds cover the moon. A dark night without any stars blinking in the sky. I prefer the snowy months over the warmer ones, when the snow covers each and every one of my paw prints, but spring and summer in Silverlake are beautiful too.
With a graceful movement, I push the window from my suite further open and climb out of it, and then further up the roof until I reach the top of it. There, I sit down for a while, gazing around me and eyeing the pack area from this point above them. They are weird; the wolves and humans alike, but also oddly fascinating.
They were wary of me at first, when I ate that one chair that had the audacity to almost drop onto me. But I am not here to hurt any of them.
"Titan, are you outside?" Aurelia leans out the window, her beautiful, dark-brown hair dancing in the wind. She is a true beauty. Strong, sophisticated, confident. Worthy of being my companion.
"Is he out there?" Arden asks.
I don't mind him being with Aurelia. I didn't like him at first, but he has brains. His mind and intellect clearly stretch further than those of others. It's fascinating. Not many of them are that smart.
Well, many of my kind aren't either.
I was lost in this world when the dimensions got twisted and the doors opened for a brief moment. Some of us entered this realm, including a lowly drool-monster within them. He lives in a pack nearby with a human and a lycan. He has the brain size of a pea, but he is strong, and no danger to the humans and wolves of his pack.
My original plan was to return home, but now I don't feel like going back. I like it here. They treat me well. The beautiful luna sometimes brushes my fur, and the twins play with me.
It's never boring. This is my new kingdom now.
"Titan?" Aurellia calls out again, leaning forward further and eyeing the roof. "Come, I have fresh food for you."
I stretch my paws slightly before getting up and climbing back down. Food, what kind of food? I hear some rustling coming from inside the apartment, and the scent of tuna fills my nose. I climb down further and jump back through the window where Arden is pouring tuna into my bowl.
My kingdom can wait.
