Chapter sixteen
South Tavia: Last day on the island.
Fluffy white clouds drift lazily across the blue sky. It's our last day on the island of South Tavia, and I surprised Noah with a private tour of the ancient ruins.
The upgrade was a little pricey, but worth every penny. Especially when Noah laced his fingers with mine, and we got to walk so close to the shimmering white bricks of the island's most iconic temple.
We spent the day exploring the shrines and taking photos with Noah's insta-print camera. At one point, we took a selfie in front of the big temple with the sparkling aqua water of the ocean as a backdrop.
I'm tucking Noah against me, with my arm wrapped around his shoulders, and rather than looking at the camera, we're both gazing into each other's eyes.
No one has ever looked at me like that and, even more shocking, I didn't even know I could display such deep emotions with a simple stare.
I immediately took the photo and placed it in my wallet for safekeeping. A little memento to remind me of the moment I realized I was in love.
