Some people say they are meant to be broken,

but not these ones.

These are designed to protect me, to make sure I never feel the pain I did almost ten years ago.

The dull but present pain I still feel every time my past taunts me.

From the Loyalties that have remained broken, I built my Walls high and tall, creating these Rules to make sure all Hearts,

most of all mine, will stay guarded.

That was the plan at least, until she came along.

I wasn’t sure what to expect when arriving in Salem.

Forced to marry a man I’ve never met, attend a private university I’d never heard of, and the whispers of a rumored secret society filling the halls.

My stalker is becoming more agitated, more violent. I'm constantly looking over my shoulder, chasing after ghosts for answers.

Add in my three boyfriends, my evil father and my new sadistic father in law and we are all in for an adventure I'm not sure I want to survive.

One thing is for sure, though, making our way out of this, dead or alive is going to be one hell of a Descent.
