Employed at Pierced Pretties, Felix is used to caring about the needs of others. When Prince Rainier comes looking for a Kitten to play with, Felix is sure he won’t be chosen. Except he is. Not only does Rainier dote on him, he respects boundaries and is willing to let Felix set them too. In a single night, Remus Rizzo loses his Uncle Lupo, the position of Crown Prince of Rowland, and his freedom. Betrayed by his twin, he finds himself in the den of his bitterest enemy: the Crown Prince Sébastien Cadieux of Soleil.

To survive the lethal, icy Prince, Remus will have to step carefully. Thanks to the Rizzo's actions, Sébastien lost everyone except for his Uncle Corentin, and the wrath under his pretty exterior has spent years boiling. Remus is his last chance for retribution.

To survive the court and a bigger enemy that wants them both dead, Remus will have to ally with Sébastien and find a middle ground. It doesn't matter if Sébastien grows so angry at times that his eyes flash red or that some have sensed an odd energy about him. Neither can survive without the other.

To evade the men and get to South Sea, Remus and Sébastien will have to escape Midland by whatever means possible. If they convince the werewolves to aid them, Remus will have his birthright and avenge Uncle Lupo.

More importantly, he'll have Sébastien…if the Prince will have him. The truth of his past has left deep scars, and Remus has no idea how far the Regent's treachery has gone. Not only has the Regent betrayed the entire Cadieux family, he's given his nephew over to an ancient evil with ties to Prince Angelo, the Angel Prince of South Sea.

The only way to save the Prince may be to let him go.

Sébastien

Sébastien has nothing except the clothes on his back, evidence of the Regent's crimes, Whisper, the cursed cuffs, and Remus. Despite the truth being in the open, Remus is still at his side and offering something he never quite dared to hope for.

The worst truth will become apparent in South Sea. Something's latched onto Sébastien, and it'll destroy his body and life to leave the realm and return home. Prince Angelo was only able to lock away the great evil that threatened his people.

Prince Angelo lost his life, so what hope does Sébastien have? He already learned a cold lesson at the age of fourteen: nobody and nothing will save him. Not even Remus. When the Regent comes for him, Sébastien's only option is to let it in.

If he's going to die, he'll take the Regent with him in a sea of fire.
