Except, this life might be a facade.

Ive been having visions of another life, one that has beautiful moments, but ultimately ends in doom. And its starting to bleed into this world. Possession is taking over, someone is clearly trying to kill me, and my parents have gone missing.

Oh, and did I mention Im being framed for murder?

Yeah, that sucks.

Everything is starting to fall apart, and if I dont figure out how to prevent disaster from taking over, the people I care about will suffer.

I have a secret. Im a witch.

Okay, maybe its not that big of a secret. At least not in Mystic Willow Bay, a town where practically every paranormal creature lives.

Still, I have plenty of secrets. Like the fact that I suck at casting spells, which is a huge problem considering Im a witch. I can also talk to dead bodies, and Im secretly working on a spell that will hopefully revive my sister from the dead.

Other than that, Im just an average witch who spends most of my time going to school, practicing spells, and hanging out with Hunter, a sexy wizard who I have a huge crush on.

Yep, thats my life in a boring magical spell.

Or well, I thought so. But when I cross paths with a tricky demon, I realize nothing about my life is what it appears to be.

A few days ago, I was chosen to attend the Royal Academy, a university for the wealthy, elite, and royal. The problem is, Im none of those things.

Im unsure why I was selected to attend there, but I accept the invitation anyway.

I definitely dont fit in, though. On top of being the only poor girl in the entire student body, Im also drawing attention thanks to River Everson wanting to spend time with me. He's one of the most gorgeous, wealthiest guys in school, and hes betrothed to another girl. And I kissed him, which wasnt my brightest of ideas.

But guy issues arent my only problem. People from my old life are searching for me to settle my fathers debts, and someone at the Royal Academy is set on making me drop out.

I also soon learn that darkness and secrets lie everywhere, even in the glittering walls of royalty.
