Marc Shelby comes home to Arkansas to help his sister, Donna save their family home. The town is trying to take their land through eminent domain. Their only hope to prevent it being torn down is to get it registered as a historical property.

Benjamin Adams, the town historian, board member and Civil War reenactor comes to the rescue when Marc finds a package filled with Civil War photographs and letters between two men. Sparks fly between them, while they work at authenticating the find.
