Ghost of Retribution (Medium Trouble Book 4)Romance · Alice Winters
Maddox
Rules for keeping Hiro nice and safe (who am I kidding?):
#1: Don’t go anywhere alone with ghosts
#2: Don’t leave your cell phone sitting ten feet away when you frequently run into trouble
#3: Don’t play dirty movies for my boss and blame it on the dead
#4: Have a peaceful and romantic vacation with no interruptions
Hiro
Maddox foolishly believes we need any rules when we’re simply going to Japan to meet my extended family. What’s he think we’re going to do? Run into a serial killer? Like that would ever happen (let’s pretend it didn’t happen recently).
We’re going to relax, see the sights, spend some romantic nights together, try not to fret about meeting my family… and stop someone from being killed. (Weirdly, that last one wasn’t on the itinerary.)
When my cousin’s boyfriend shows up surrounded by ghosts, I wonder whether it’s some kind of premonition of what’s to come. The ghosts are unresponsive and fixated on their target, making Maddox and me question if we’re working against the clock to save this man. The two of us discover a disturbing pattern of people haunted by ghosts who are predicting their imminent death, and we’re swept into danger. Far from home, we’re left relying on my found family of rather unique ghosts who would risk their lives for me… if they still had lives to risk.
Maybe Maddox needs to change his rules a bit.

The Mercenary's Guide to Mishaps and Romance (Hitman's Guide Book 7)LGBT+ · Alice Winters
Ellis
Why is it that the first attractive man to look my way mistakes me for a bad guy, stuffs me in the trunk of his car, and ships me off to an island where I'm positive the only thing waiting for me is my own murder?
I mean yeah, Tavish is charismatic and fun, but did I mention the whole trunk thing? Oh, maybe I forgot to mention his peculiar group of friends who keep promising to “help” me, but why are they running around with masks and weapons while praising fences?
Tavish and his friends are actually the bad guys, aren't they?
If I (somehow) look past all of that… Tavish really does seem like a nice guy. He's caring, funny, and willing to risk his life to protect me. It's become quite clear that if I'm going to get out of this alive, I'm not going to be able to do it without him.
Tavish
So maybe I mixed things up a wee bit and took Ellis on a tiny road trip that he might not have been privy to. Ellis doesn't seem to overly mind. I mean, yeah, maybe he tried blinding me with aerosol spray… or maybe I was just blinded by his handsome smile.
The problem is that Ellis is in danger, but he knows nothing about this world he's been thrown into. He's sweet, kind, and has the biggest heart of anyone I've ever met. And I'm prepared to protect it at all costs.

Prince of Poison (Fortune Favors the Fae)Romance · Alice Winters
Silas
The fae prince caught my eye the moment I saw him, and no, it didn't have anything to do with the fact that he was being abducted. It's not even that Callisto adores the large mount who wants to maim him. Or that every time he smiles, flowers bloom around him. No, there's something else that draws me to him, though when the kingdom begins to fall apart around us, I realize I'm not the only one who wants him.
But the others want him dead.
With memories of my past hanging over me, I'm trapped between who I want to be and who I need to be to protect Callisto.
Callisto
While being officially crowned prince should be my main concern, something isn't quite right with the king—unless it's normal to have an evil mist hanging around you. Then again, who am I to judge when I can poison someone with just a kiss?
When an attack on the royal court leaves me wounded, I have no one to turn to but Silas, but he wants to keep me at a distance… like he's afraid of me finding out the secrets he holds.
Thankfully, with Dandelion (my sweet mount—don't listen to Silas), a strange and suspicious coin, and Silas's friend who can speak to animals (who don't seem interested in speaking to him) at our side, we're going to tip this fight in our favor and prove that heroes (and love) come in all forms.
